BlackCloud Sneered. "That may be what you claim. What about the rest of your people?" He all but growled. "You always claim peace. Then why do you carry that?" He asked sharply. His eyes fell to the musket and back to the mans face. He knew that most of the tribe did not know what it was. However since his father had one he knew. He stepped up like Chaska at the chief's side. "You have no right to address our people. You are not a guest here, as you were not invited." He stated. Blackcloud was young but his father had taught him well. To protect the people no matter what. Even if that means they may not see eye to eye with you.

"Blackcloud!" Ni yelled sharply. She stood in front of him. "You shame yourself." she scolded, unsure if that was a dignified statement. The whole tribe probably believed he wa right. But she didn't. She approached the white man. "How do you really figure on bringing peace to this?" she asked.

"I believe we can both live in peace, under king James' rule. I only ask that you all trust us so that we can protect your people." Thomas replied, not regarding the question about the gun.

Ni glanced at Blackcloud with a pleading look.

Chaska looked to Ni. "You speak out of turn Ni." He said sharply. He stepped forward. "Blackcloud is right. This man has not right here." He looked to the white man. "You want our people to obey your leader like dogs to a master. We have a leader. We do not need protection from anything. Not by you." he said coldly. It was clear that Chaska was older than this boy and that the boy seemed quite arrogant to believe in their king so blindly. "Blackcloud. Call for your father. He had dealt with the likes of them before." He said as his sharp eyes stayed on the man a moment longer before glancing back to his own father, the chief. He did not look displeased. Chaska knew that Vicious would know about them. He trusted his insight and words more than most others.

Ni narrowed her eyes at Chaska, sighing so not to totally exploit her other opinions. Being a woman of the tribe, she'd surly get in trouble if she said any more.

Thomas nodded understandingly. "I can see where you're coming from. But if you at least give us a chance; there's so much we can teach you. We will promise to only take hat we absolutely need out of the land, we will not invade any more, I give you my word." he told them.

Ni could tell that the men would get angry if they heard anymore from this man. She bit her lip, waiting for them to completely snap.

Chaska's eyes narrowed at this boy. He was growing irritated that this one did not know when to stop talking. It was clear that he was not the only one irritated by this.

Travis saw Thomas ahead and saw the group around him. 'He' heard the words spoken from both sides before walking out. He carried no musket, having let it against the tree as he walked up with his hands in sight so no one thought that he meant any harm. "Thomas. That's enough. You are only trying their patients. Can you not see that?" He said as he stopped a few paces behind him. He kept his hands in sight and did not make any sudden moves. just as if he were dealing with a wild animal. It was the same tactic so they did not get attacked.

BlackCloud ignored Ni's remark. Despite the fact that it stung he showed no emotion just as his father did. He nodded in response to what Chaska had asked him. He stepped to the forest's edge and mimicked the rally call or a wolf. It sounded very similar to that of a wild one. Everyone had their own signal call. Blackcloud had learned this from his father.

Fritz heard the how and listened. He had studied animals in different lands and knew that this was a wolf. At least it sounded like one. He did not follow it. That was not his job. After all, if they were here then this was their territory.

Vicious stopped cold hearing the howl ring out through the forest. To outsiders it sounded like a wild wolf. However Vicious knew the call of his son all too well. He turned and again he stopped Falling Rain's horse. "There is trouble in the village." he said as he let out a sharp whistle. There was rustling through the trees as a large black horse came through them. Vicious never tied his stallion. He didn't need to. He climbed onto his bare back with little effort and started back.

Falling Rain had already stopped her horse at the howl and she silently nodded to him. She waited for him to mount before taking off toward the village, Swift Bear living up to his name and covering the ground with little effort and in good time. When she arrive, she steered him to her abode then slide off his back, jumping to the front of the commotion.

"And why do you come in our presence so cautiously!?" Ni finally spoke up to the new man walking behind the old one. "You think we are some kind of animal? We are not savages!" she said, glaring at Chaska and BlackCloud. "Why shouldn't we give them a chance? They have shown no sign of aggression yet. You know we need their protection!" she told them.

Thomas stayed put as this girl defended them.

Vicious rode with great speed through the forest. Chadow was on his trail. They reached the village in no time. He stopped behind the two intruders. "Niakkoma!" He said sharply as he dismounted. "That is enough. Anything regarding these people will be discussed with with the chief and elders." he told her in the same rough and stern tone he always had. He did not trust these people any farther than they could throw their ship. However he would not let his past be the soul reason for an attack.
