"No kidding?" Ponyboy laughed. "Well, small world then." He said as he hopped up the stairs of the library and opened the door for Penny.

"Hopefully is right." I nodded. I ran a hand through my hair, not knowing exactly what to say to Trevor.

Theresa Hartman
I nodded, blushing slightly. "I'll be right back, Jack." I smiled to my brother before following Sodapop. "Thank you so much for letting us stay with you Soda. I really appreciate this."

Penny Hartman
"Small world indeed." I gave a light laugh then followed Ponyboy up the stairs When he held the door open, I bowed my head in thanks and giggled slightly, "Well someone's a gentleman!" She waited a few steps away from the door, pulling a mock look of confusion and made her voice sound like the typical "dumb blonde". "So this is what a library looks like?" But she couldn't get through the sentence without having to turn away to stifle a laugh into her sleeve.

Ponyboy laughed and looked at the ground. "And you say you love reading." He teased. "Was that just something you said to impress me?" He flirted. He didn't know if that line was a bit overbearing.

Penny Hartman
I moved some hair off my shoulder and stuck my tongue out, "Maybe it was." I let my eyes wander the room before falling back on Ponyboy. "Care to show my where I can find books on various marine mammals?" I held my left forearm in my right hand and batted my eyelashes a few times, taking a few steps towards Pony.

Ponyboy shifted his gaze from the shelves to Penny. "Marine mammals?" He confirmed, beginning to walk towards the nonfiction section. He noticed her batting her eyelashes and he found it kind of quirky.

"Mhm." I nodded, following a few paces behind him as he approached a section labeled "NONFICTION" in bold plastic lettering on the wall. "I either complete this assignment with a B or higher or I have to retake my senior year."

Pony raised his eyebrows. "You must not like school very much then." He concluded. He looked through the book titles until they came to some that read "Oceans of the World and Inhabitants." He pointed at the book for Penny to see.

"Could you point me in the direction of the public library?" I was relieved that they were being kind. "I've lived here all my life but can't seem to find the one building." I grinned a bit. I felt a bit embarrassed but tried to make myself feel better with a bit of humor. They were both definitely lookers and I couldn't help but wondering if they were together. It would be awkward if they weren't and I asked, so I didn't say anything else.

Trevor
" sorry, but I've gotta go get some rest. See ya Jackson." I want back to my room and lid down. (Wanna skip a few weeks, so Jackson and Trevor can get out of the hostipatal.)

I nodded and watched Soda and her go upstairs.

Sodapop
I smiled, "don't ya worry about it. It's no big deal really, I'm just aimin' to help ya and your brother."

Lilly
I decided to go for a walk. I managed to avoid a lot of the Soc's. They never bothered me much but when they do they make a fine mess of me. Today was a good day dispute the rain(I think).

I smiled, looking down and biting my bottom lip. "Do you think you could go back to my house, just for a few minutes. I just need to tell my dad and Penny we're alright. And I could grab some of Jack's clothes. It doesn't have to be today, just soon." I felt bad asking, since he'd down so much already. I just didn't want my family to worry.

Penny Hartman
"I don't." I laughed lightly, "Never have really." I took a step closer to see what he was pointing to, "Sounds perfect." I smiled, moving around his shoulder to pick the book off the shelf.
