Emma groaned as light flooded in through the window, practically blinding her. She ducked her head down beneath her duvet, but it was no use, she was already wide awake. She cursed under her breath as she got dressed in random attire, a band shirt she had pulled from her messy closet and a pair of ripped black skinny jeans. A sigh escaped her lips at the thought of showing up for school, and ditching had crossed her mind more than once, but it was the first day, she had to go. She brushed her messy light pink hair, letting it fall down normally, not really caring about her appearance that much. And lastly, a layer of makeup and a pair of tattered old converse. She wasn't surprised to find the house empty once she had gotten downstairs, her dad was almost never home. Emma chewed her lip, grabbing a water bottle and her bag, then heading out the door, not even bothering to fix breakfast.

Austin frowned watching his three other brothers, Riley, Jackson, and Ray, frantically running around the house, attempting to get ready quickly, for they had overslept. Austin had gotten up early enough to take a shower and get dressed before the others had even gotten out of bed. He was always an early riser, you had to be if you wanted warm water or breakfast. His parents had already left for work, leaving the boys to fend for themselves. Austin grabbed a granola bar and his books, saying a short goodbye to his brothers who where too busy stuffing their faces to even noticed he had spoken, let alone left. It was always like that for Austin.
