Emily laughed."because I didn't tell anyone about her." She said before grabbing toys and sitting down to play with her.

Adam went into the kitchen to get a drink. Marissa crouched down near her. "Why not?" She asked.

Emily smiled." I don't know. It was hard for me to accept that she was my only family member left." She said softly as they played.

Marissa sat on her knees, watching the baby giggle and clap her hands. "Where you afraid?" She asked.

Emily nodded. She smiled at Adam as he walked back into the room. "Yeah. It was hard to accept everything so my grandparents said they would take care of her until I was ready to care for and love her."

Marissa stopped. "No, I mean that Adam wouldn't be with you anymore." She said before he walked into the room.

Emily shrugged." Yeah. I was." She whispered softly to Marisa.

Marissa smiled. "I won't tell him." She whispered back.

Emily laughed softly. Then she looked up and smiled at Adam.
