"Nope." He said saddly as he shook his head. "The place I'm staying at doesn't allow pets." He said thinking of the dirt little room he has to share with a nasty family.
Georgia
"They had their reasons." She sighed, not wanting to tell Jacob the real reason they kicked her out. He would probably leave her as well. They always did in the end.

Anna frowned, "that's terrible." She said, giving Jason a little hug. "I couldn't imagine living without my pets." She thought for a moment. "What do you like to do in your free time?"

Jacob nodded, he wasn't going to push her to tell him anything she didn't want to. "What did you think of that one girl... Anna? She was a little strange don't you think?" He chuckled, trying to lighten the mood.

"I've gotten used to it, but every now and then I help at the animal shelter just outside town. I know that they won't go there because they hate animals." He sighed. "But least I can play with them there and help look after them." He said. "That's normally what I do in my free time any way."
Georgia
"Yea, I don't know what up with her. She's nice, a little childish (In a good way). Although driving trucks can be dangerous." She said as she thought about it.

Anna smiled, her heart faltering. "You are so sweet! If I went to the animal shelter I would adopt them all." She chuckled, imagining the sweet little puppies.

Jacob nodded, "she didn't look old enough to be driving. She must have grown up in a northern state then." He said, his thoughts drifting towards Anna, wondering who Silas was.

"Yeah. Although it can get pretty sad. I'm one of the only volunteers they get. i think that they want me to work there full time, but they don't ge enough donations to pay for more staff." He said saddly. "But the puppies and the kittens are adorable." He said smiling.
Georgia
"She might look young for her age." She said trying to defend her friend. "Maybe she's on a learners license." She added trying to think of a way that she would be able to drive.

Anna gave a halfway smile, "I wouldn't be of much use...I'm useless." She felt so broken. She could do anything. She needed to be active and be constructive. She just didn't know how to do new things this way.

"Can you cross state borders with one of those?" He asked, shoving his hands in his pockets. He kind of felt concerned about Anna just because he saw her as a little sister somewhat.

"Rubbish." He said without thinking. "You're not useless. You just need to learn how to get used to it, then you can figure out what you can do." He added. "You've been to the doctors right? Did they say?" He asked.
Georgia
"I'm not sure." She replied. "I never got the chance to try." She added feeling a little down. "I'm supposed to get one this year. Well thats what they said." She sighed. Talking to Jacob felt good. felt right, but she wasn't sure she should tell him her secret.

Anna looked down, "The doctor said I might be able to see really bright things but it is a small chance." She said, ignoring what Jason had said. She didn't, couldnt believe it.

"Who is teaching you?" He asked, purposefully bumping into her shoulder.

"As long as there's a chance, you should believe in it." He said trying to encourage here. Looking up, he saw that they had walked to the edge of town. "Where almost to my car." He said to her. "Then we can drive the rest of way." He added.
Georgia
"I volunteer sometimes at the pre school in my free time and one of the teachers is teaching how to drive." She replied. "She knows about them and lets me stay and help the class."

"I like walking with you." She remarked, taking a deep breath. Why was she shaking?

"Wow! You are just amazing! " he exclaimed, giving a little leap. "How do you deal with it all? " he asked, feeling like a coward next to Georgia. She was so strong compared to him.
