Chance waited for him to sit then covered him with a warm blanket and handed him the tv remote. She disappeared for a moment into the kitchen and returned with his medicine and a glass of water. "Here." She said quietly as she handed them to him.

He snuggled deeper into the blanket and took the medicine with the water quickly. "Thanks." He told her and leaned back.

Chance smiled affectionately and gently smoothed back his hair. She kissed his cheek then stood up. "I'll be in the kitchen making breakfast. Call if you need anything."

He nodded, smiling back. "Don't worry, I will." He said jokingly and started flipping through channels. "You know what time I'm supposed to check in at the hospital?" He asked after suddenly thinking about it.

"At three this afternoon." Chance answered easily as she fried bacon in a pan.

He looked up at her in the kitchen. "You've been making sure, haven't you?" He guessed.

Chance blushed. "I didn't want you to miss your appointment. " she said shyly. The grease in the pain popped and she pulled her hand back with a pained hiss.

He grabbed a snack, suddenly really hungry then smiled when he saw Chance asleep and tip toed back to his room.

He nodded and stood up. "I don't usually go, so lead the way or I'll lose myself." He said jokingly.

Renee smiled and stood up. She gently took his arm and led him out of the park towards the coffee shop."so Devin...tell me about yourself."she said sweetly. Renee blushed deeply and glanced to the ground before slowly looking back up at him.
