Katie sat there, desperately trying to calm herself down. Luckily, after a few more minutes of crying, she had finally been reduced to sniffles. The seemingly never-ending flow of tears had stopped, and she looked up at Jake.

Jake smiled slightly. "Good.." he said with a smile. " hated to see you cry.. <~3"

Katie blushed tomato red at that statement and she gave a tiny smile. "Rea-?" she asked and stopped in the middle of the question. Her eyes widened slightly, as she realized that they hadn't even introduced themselves yet. "Oh my god... we're so stupid! We haven't even told each other our names yet..." the brunette said, resisting the urge to facepalm.

Jake blinked and laughed nervously as he let go. "Oops, guess your right.." he said as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Hehe.. so.." He then stood up and held out his hand with a smile. "I'm Jake Kikairo! And you~?"

Katie sniffled quietly and smiled, grabbing onto his hand. She felt like she could trust Jake, because when she told most people about her prom night, they didn't say anything and would never have such a reaction. "My name's Katelyn Freeborough, or just Katie for short," she said.

Jake shook her hand rapidly and quite violently, overreacting at just the thought of having a new friend; correction A friend. "Nice to meet you Katie~!" He said excitedly as he took her hand with his other hand and shook her arm excitedly and even more violently.

Katie squealed in surprise, since Jake was violently shaking both of her hands now. Instead of ripping her hands away like she usually would, she just giggled and let him shake her hands violently. "It's nice to meet you too, Jake."

Jake noticed her giggle and that helped him realize he was overreacting. He blushed slightly and let go, rubbing his neck nervously. "Hehe, sorry.."
