Katie closed her eyes, her blush deepening. God, was she really about to admit this? Was she ready? What if... what if she screwed up? Taking a deep breath to try to relax herself, the brunette opened her eyes and looked straight into Jake's. "J-Jake, I... I love you. So, so much... But I'm kind of afraid. I don't want to be hurt again. I mean, I know you'd never do anything to hurt me, but still," she whispered quietly, her voice trembling.

Jake somehow blushed more and his heart sank when she admitted she was afraid. He cried and hugged her to try and comfort her. "Please don't be afraid.. b- because.. I love you too!"

Katie's eyes widened to the size of dinner plates, and she was shocked. Regaining her movement, she wrapped her arms around Jake and held onto him. "Alright... I'm sorry for being afraid, I can't help it. And I'm glad you love me, too," she said, managing to smile softly.
