Gabe stridded into the Starbucks in her favorite mall with a yawn, the vacant café silent from its own empitiness. "Hey love, my usual please." Gabe called to the young girl behind the counter, she was pretty but not his type anyways. He plopped down into the brown chair at the empty two person table with a sigh, gazing out of the large glass window streaked with lines of rain drops. His icy blue eyes carefully followed three drops of water as they raced for dear life, quickly approaching the finish line which happened to be where the window ended. The kid came around the corner of the small yet cozy café and handed Gabe his pumpkin spice coffee, a nice treat to sip on thanksgiving holiday although he had no friends to spend the holiday with. With a quick glance, Gabe's overcast opticals landed on the empty seat before him, the corners of his mouth slightly turning down. Something inside the guy felt, missing.. He needed something; someone. Gabe swiftly stood up and exited the coffee shop, "Later," He called to the girl. He went down the escalator quietly, watching as the various crowds of people shuffled by below. People watching was one of his many specialties, Gabe loved to people watch. Their was no specific reason behind it, he just found it madly entertaining.
Aurora jogged through the rain at a fast pace, her long tan legs out stretching in front of her as she ran down the street. That was her escape, running was like her safe haven. Rawr's parents had always fought, but never this much. She just wanted to get away from it all, exactly why she was bolting through the pounding rain with her ear buds full blast. Aurora didn't care how she looked, her dirty blonde hair dripping wet and dark wash super skinny jeans weighting her down. Finally deciding that the rain was to much, Aurora veered to the left into the closest store possible which happened to be the record store. She unplugged one ear bud so if someone spoke she could hear them although she knew no one would, at least not to her. She peered around the corner only seeing a boy behind the counter. She stayed silent, knowing the boy probably thought she looked insane. Aurora soundlessly sifted through the older records, curious to see who the artists were. Rora always had a certain kind of liking for music, it didn't matter to her if it was new or older; she just appreciated the music itself. She herself was quite the singer although no one knew, not even her parents.

“It seemed funny that the sunset she saw from her patio and the
one I saw from the back steps was the same one. Maybe the two worlds we
lived in weren’t so different. We saw the same sunset.”
“Things were rough all over, but it was better that way. That way you
could tell the other guy was human too.”
