I saw a sign for the city park and put down my skateboard to ride around in the park. As I was riding down the sidewalk I listened to all the birds and the small stream that ran beside the sidewalk. I put in my earbuds and continued riding.

Joe was sitting on a bench under one of the gazeboes near the small lake in the middle of the park with his notebook open to a fresh page. He tapped the eraser of the pencil to the page as he thought of what to write next in his story as he hummed along to a song that was stuck in his head. Joe stared blankly a head of him to the surface of the lake that was rippling with raindrops disturbing the reflection of the gloomy cloud filled sky.

It began to rain and I smiled. I twirled in the rain, my hair dripping water in my face.

Joe spotted something moving from the corner of his eye and blinked looking over to a girl who was twirling in the rain a skateboard under her arm. She seemed to be having fun from what Joe gathered from watching her, but he quickly turned his attention back to his notebook not wanting to accused of staring.

I stopped and remembered I had my drawings in my backpack. I ran to the cover of a gazebo where a boy was sitting. I opened my bag to find my pictures were ruined. "S*** I muttered under my breath. I took them out and ripped them up.
