Josh giggled lightly and blushed at the comment. Or... He thought it was. He nibbled on some curly fries and looked up when a red-headed girl sat next to Mason.

"Hey Mase! Remember me? Ember?" She grinned.

Mason blinked. Crap. They didn't have to know that she was his one girlfriend and a big mistake, "Yeah..." He sighed a bit.

"I was wondering if we could hang out sometime!" Ember grinned.

Mason swallowed, "Uuhhhh... I... Uh..." He gave Sam and Josh a 'help me' look. But Josh stuffed his face with food and shrugged happily.

Sam looks at her, "You look a lot like Maeve . . . are you an assassin too?"

Ember frowned at him, "Excuse me?"

Mason nibbled on a fry.

"An assassin," Sam says again. "if you were you'd remember the old motto, but you seem completely clueless."

"That's because I am..." Ember frowned deeper.

"Oh, I see, so you should know that assassins, or those that are trained as assassins, or those who have been forced to be assassins at some point in their life like me, are very protective of their friends. Upon knowing that you can definitely stay and hang out with us if you'd like just so long as you don't say anything hurtful." Sam smiles pleasantly, looking completely innocent. "That way we can all be friends."

Ember blinked, giving him a 'weirdo' look before turning to Mason, "Anyway Mase, I'll talk to you tommorow, when your bit hanging out with these freaks. Kay?" She turned to leave but Mason had snapped. He grabbed her and pinning her to the floor in a quick motion, hand around her throat and brown eyes hard, "Excuse me..." He growled, "But I broke up with you for a reason."

Sam gets up and looks at her, a unfathomable cold in his eyes. "I bet she didn't believe a single word I said. My kind don't take insults, ye female dog."

Mason slowly started to squeeze her throat, making her struggle and gag die breath.

Josh blinked. He wasnt sure what to do so he pulled his knees to his chest and silently panicked.

Sam reaches over Mason and grabs his wrist, hitting a pressure point, forcing him to let go, proceeding to drag him off her. "Killing her would be a bad idea right now."
