His eye was swollen and his lips bruised and bleeding. Cuts appeared on his face as he tried to fight back until a hit to his hurt wrist elicited a high pitched wail.

Mason heard the cry. He stiffened. Someone was hurting him. His boyfriend. His finance, "Sorry you gotta see like this, Gamzee." He mumbled as rage built up inside him, he let his personality take over. It didn't take long to find the guy beating up Gamzee. He threw the guy a rough punch to the temple.

He squealed in pain and scrambled up. ''Mason!" He wailed, grabbing him. The male growled.

Mason relaxed, going back to normal. He looked down at Gamzee and pulled him close, "You're never going out in the dark alone. Ever." he kissed his head.

Luke laughed a bit at first, "I agree." He then listened to what Mitch had to say. "Well, if you don't mind telling me... what are some of those stories?" He questioned.

Mason relaxed, going back to normal. He looked down at Gamzee and pulled him close, "You're never going out in the dark alone. Ever." he kissed his head.

He sighed quietly and cried. ''I was so scared...'' He wailed uncontrollably. ''I thought he was gonna kill me..'' Breath escaped his lips and froze in the cold air.

Luke laughed a bit at first, "I agree." He then listened to what Mitch had to say. "Well, if you don't mind telling me... what are some of those stories?" He questioned.

Mason held him close, "Hush..." He glanced at the alley and picked him up gently, "You're okay now. Let's gwt you cleaned up, huh?"

Mitch smiled, "Nah, I don't mind. The first one was when I was six. I was on a school bus, and we lived in the foothills of Colorado, and I was riding the bus to school. I think the road crumbled or something, but the bus rolled off the road. We didn't go far, but it killed some kids and hurt a lot of them, including me. So, I lost the movement of my arm." He poked his limp arm, "Dead nerves and muscles, that is."

He snuggled up to him and cried softly. ''I..I thought I wouldn't get to see you again..'' He cried into his chests. Muffled sobs were heard.

Luke nodded thoughtfully, "That explains things now. I was kinda wondering about that arm. Well, that sucks, I'm sorry. I guess I have some bad memories... Going through depression, stuff like that." He said, not going into much detail. He didn't really mind the subject, but he just didn't want to take the time to explain things right now unless Mitch wanted him to.
