Isabella looke at the note and smiled "my one condition flint is that you let kamau help me train them" she said looking up through her eye lashes she was using the beauty card to actually get the puppies "and I agree to the terms."

Flint ignored the boy as he passed. He again tightened his jaw. "I have yet to name my conditions. I don't want you training them. These are not dog. The can not be treated as such. They are not pets. They are wild animals that can turn. If they are trained right by someone who has worked with the type of animal before that is one thing. Training a coyote or wolf if not the same as training a dog or a horse." He told her firmly. "If you want to keep them then I am the one who trains them." He said firmly. "I'm sure Jack would agree to that point so that his little girl was not put in harms way but so that she could still have something that she did want." He said simply. He knew that Isabella meant the world to Jack even if he was hard sometimes. "I will not negotiate this." He told her. "You can be there when I work with them if you want, but. These are not dogs!" He stated again. "They can not be treated like a dog." He said a bit less forceful. "And they are to be locked up away from the barn at night. Not in the house." He said simply. "Do we have an agreement?" He asked her. He knew that the vet would be there either that after noon or evening. He also knew that the vet would agree with his first suggestion of getting rid of the pups before they became more of a threat. It was for Isabella's sake alone that he would try to help her keep them. However it was under the conditions that he be the one to work with them.

Riftkin was by the fence where he had turned his stallion out to graze. He could hear the conversation and understood where Flint was coming from. He could agree with what he was saying now that he had calmed down. He sat on the fence and listened. Despite the fact that Flint obviously disliked coyotes he was willing to go against his own morals as well as her father's orders and a vet's recommendation to make her happy. He just wanted to be the one to train them so that he knew they would be safe for her to be around. He understood it now that his head was cleared. He jumped down and leaned against the fence post. He also realized that if she didn't agree, with Flint being the one who brought in the parents and caught the pups he had legal claim to say what happened to them. He waited to see what would happen.

Isabella sighed and nodded" Fine flint as long as i get to name them...and love the," she the last part softly .."Thank you." she said again before hugging him, than existing the barn. Of Course now she would keep her dad away from the barn as long as possible. Isabella s mind was racing what she didnt realize how ever was the fact her chores still needing doing and that people were coming to go on trial rides...and that she and two ranch hands needed to go check out the far far far pasture...

Flint nodded "Name them what you want." he told her softly. He was glad she didn't argue the point. He went in and set some food down for the pups. He knew they wouldn't eat much of it since they were not use to it. He went out and called Wildfire to him. He knew the drill of going the check the pastures at the edge of the property. He didn't really want the newer hands that far out but that wasn't his call to make yet since Jack hadn't appointed him as top hand. Not yet at least. He took Fine back in and saddled him up now that he was dry. He loaded on his rifle and gear.

Riftkin smirked and watched Isabella leave. "She has you wrapped around her finger." He said with a smirk as he looked over the gate at the pups. He looked back to Flint. He knew that the native had worked there longer than he had. "How long?" He asked "Here, I mean." He said simply. "I know it's more than five years because I have been here that long. You were here when i started and you seem to be rather close to Isabella." He stated the observation .

Flint looked at Riftkin with a sharp glare at the comment about Isabella having his wrapped. Even if it was true. "I have been here since I was around seven or so. Isabella and I are childhood friends, we grew up together even before I started here." He said simply as he fastened the straps around Fire's chest.

Riftkin nodded. "What do you think of the new hands?" He asked simply. He didn't care for the newest of the lot. A city kid it seemed who tried to be flashy and what not. It irritated him. Then there was the younger one that seemed to be to shy to do much harm. However he knew better than to judge someone so easily. He had always seem Flint as an aggressor. Yet he had seen over the years that he was loyal to Jack and protective of Isabella. The way he acted reminded Riftkin of a guard or attack dog more than anything else. He wasn't able to say no to Isabella and hold to it even if it went against orders.

Flint kept to work on his horse. "I find Cross to be rather flamboyant and a bit irritating at times. He seems to think that life is all about fun. Takemura isn't as bad but he does need to be able to communicate a bit better. I aint much for a lot of talk myself but you have to get past it to be able to get all your information." He said before his piercing eyes met Riftkin's. "Then there's you. The bruiser." He said simple enough. "You try to hid your past and aggression. It works with the others but not with someone who shares the same trait." He said simply as he finished with Fire. "You seem to see with a clear enough hear once to let that anger cool out." He stated as he leaned against the door.

Riftkin smirked at the comment. "Then we have the guard dog. Who at first seems to be a highly aggressive man. However if observed is a pretty loyal guy who is very protective of the bosses daughter." He said with a smirk. "I'll saddle up Gaoth and ride the outer perimeter with you." He said simply as he went to collect his horse.
