winning. there is a lot more to it then what meets they eye. it means more then the glory of winning. the big lights, people knowing your name, but it is more then something you can do by yourself. being a winner in this sport is nothing individual. it takes a bond with an animal that weights a ton and has a find of its own. it takes trust and confidence in the fact you know what your doing. it means hard work because money means nothing at the end of the day. do you know why? because they don't care. they don't care what car you drive, how rich your daddy is, or if your purse is designer. they don't care about the vanities. all they care about is what is on the inside of you. they care about the fact you bring them carrots each time you see them, that you pull them out of their stalls for a good groom, and bond with them. winning is about blood, sweat, and tears. money can only take you so far. it is about spending hot summer days working around the barn. its about the blurry eyed five a.m. mornings. winning is about hard work. if you want to be a winner you have to buckle down and work hard. nothing is going to come to you any other way.

edgewood stables is a remarkable riding program with remarkable stable behind it all. charles 'charlie' webster an up and coming professional inherited the stable from his late father. the man had not been planning on taking on students until he had built more of a name for himself, but that didn't really happen. as soon he got the barn he took over his fathers old clients -the ones that stayed at least- and starting building on of the top barns in the country. he focused on his juniors and as they started winning bigger and bigger classes, the more well known the barn got. now this barn shows up and down the eastern sea board and is known for producing winners in all three arenas. the main barn is a nice forty six stall barn with air conditioning and heating. six cross ties, four wash racks, tack room, locker room, office, and indoor arena viewing area. the indoor arena attaches to the barn and is also temperature controlled, but still can get a little chilly. there is another barn as well, a nice little ten horse barn with a wash rack and lounge. outside of the barn there are two arenas, both usually set up with jumps. there is also a small grand prix field to go with it all. the barn is surrounded by green pastures and woods in the background with a few little short trails going through them. the property overall is very manicured and prestigious looking. this is where winners are made.
