Tessa sighed as Edmond led Lucy inside. "I'm going to go find the mint leaves and something for Lucy's ankle while I'm at it," she said, gesturing to the girls injured foot. "If I'm not back in the next few hours, please come find me," she said, looking out at the dark forest, a little scared. She had to find the mint though before Edmond's lip got infected and Lucy's ankle got worse.

Edmond rolled his eyes wondering why she was so obsessed with trying to help him. Even thought if it was her he would be doing the same. He didn't realize how bad it was. That he couldn't move his lower lip without making it bleed. Every time he talked it would happen so he just tried to not talk as much. He sighed looking around and then glancing at Lucy. "Are you hungry? We have food." he said grabbing the food that he should have eaten but didn't want.

lucy nodded. "be safe" she warned. "please dont take any chances for us if you dont find any im sure we can find some in the morning" she reassured her. she looked over at edmund with a worried look on her face. she sat down and looked at her ankleit was swollen and purple and it looked horrible.she bit her lip in pain. "no im not hungry i'll eat later" she told edmund.

Edmond looked around sighing. He set the fruit down and sat down his head dizzy. He looked up at Lucy suspiciously fine with her but not trusting yet. She hasn't shown anything to help us out yet so his confidence that she was good was low. "and I am from the boat, so is Tessa. " he sighed knowing that the girl still didn't know his name.

Tessa nodded slowly. He walked through the forest until she found the mint bush again. It was huge and in full bloom. She picked enough to reapply to Edmonds lip several times before thinking what to find for Lucy. Alfalfa would work but it was risky to use it. Aloe Vera would be perfect if she could make it into a gel. Now she had to find it. The plant itself was very thick until you broke into the core once you got inside of it the rich gel would last for months.

She walked around for about an hour until her legs started to burn. She sat down and laughed. She had sat down right next to an Aloe Vea plant. It would feel great on her legs and Edmonds from all their walking today. She tugged on the plant several times before its root gave up and she feel backwards as she yanked it out. She walked back slowly to the cave and entred, sitting down immediately. "I have mint for Edmond and Aloe Vera for Lucy and our legs Edmond to get rid of swelling."

lucy sighed ya i know i was too" she sat down next to him. "i got knocked out and washed up on shore." she sighed "i consider myself quite lucky" she smiled sadly. "tomorrow i can go look for food." she said feeling like she hadn’t done anything. she stared at him in the dark he looked really tired and his lip wasn’t doing so well.

Edmond sighed looking around. Tessa walked in saying his name and he frowned, figures introduce me for me. He looked up at her. "Well, I am sorry that had to happen." he muttered not caring. He wondered why he even swam to shore. He spend his life hating it then fights for it later. He shook his head blinks slowly several times his head low and his hair casting over his eyes.

Tessa frowned and walked over to Edmond slowly. She held out the mint. "All you have to do is press it into the cut in all spots. It might sting but it will remove the salt and any infection along with help your skin," she said, handing it to him and going over to Lucy. She grabbed the knife from the suitcase and cut a deep hole in the middle, revealing the gel. She dipped her hand in and smothered Lucy's ankle in it. She grabbed a huge leaf that she had brought with her and wrapped her ankle in it so the gel wouldn't run off. Aloe Vera and Mint provided almost instant relief. "Feel better?" she asked Lucy, smiling softly.

Edmond crinkled up his nose smelling it. He hated mint, and gum. He wiped it onto a rock and licked his lips so they looked shinny so it looked like he put it on He looked down at the mint feeling bad. he didn't want it, it looked gross but she got it for him.. he sighed taking a very little an pressed it on the outer cut. His lip started to bleed from it and him touch it but it calmed down.

lucy looked at her ankle. relief washed over he as the pain faded away. "thank you so much" she smiled at Tessa. it was a real smile not the fake one she used to give to her teachers and friends at school. she looked over worriedly at Edmund who was having more trouble with his wound. she flinched a bit as blood dripped down his chin. "feel any better? she asked resisting the urge to reach over and comfort him. she looked away and studied the vines.
