Tessa sighed. She ate all of her portion hungrily but wrapped his up for him. She refused to eat his half. He had to be just as starving as she was. She quietly slipped out of the cave while his eyes were closed. No matter what he said, she was going to find mint leaves. The cut would heal without it, since it was on his lip. She walked on the forest floor, her shoes in her hand. She wanted to make as little noise as possible. She had no clue what was out here.

lucy walked along the beach letting the wind sooth her sore face which was dry from the water. suddenly she thought she spotted something in the distance but it was very small. she walked toward it wiry of what she might find. she though as she got closer she could just make out two human forms. "hello?" she called uncertainly.

Edmond opened his eyes feeling something slither up his side. He looked down and his eyes widened the see a snake, a black one with a green tail. "Oh crud" he muttered not knowing if it was poisonous or not. He looked around to see if Tessa was near but she wasn't probably looking for mint. "Tessa!" he whispered as loud as he felt was safe. Edmond had enough as it slithered towards his neck. Edmond jump yelling his head of like a little girl an d ran to the back of the cave jumping up on a rock. "Beast!" he hollered down at it.

Tessa grinned as she found a patch of mint. Grabbing a few handfuls, she started to walk back. Just as she arrived, she heard Edmond yell. Dropping the leaves, he ran back to the cave. She gasped as she entered and starte to go pale. She was deathly afraid of snakes. Trying to swallow her fear, she walked behind it slowly. As soon as she reached it, he slithered around, opening his large jaw and showing razor sharp teeth. Going paler, she made no movement, to scared to move for fear that she would make him attack.

Edmond shook his head jumping down and grabbing a rock. "Not knowing what the heck he was doing he ran up to the snake and kicked it away from her. The snake hissed and he saw liquid come out of it's teeth, defiantly poisonous. He threw the rock watching it smash on the snakes head and nodded with a smile. "Burn!" he walked over to her. "You okay?"

Tessa watched him in awe. She nodded her head slowly. "Im only afraid of three things. Snakes, Needles, and Spiders. In that order," she said shuddering. "Oh, I found mint. I dropped it though when I heard you scream," she said, the color starting to slowly fade back into her face. The snake had startled her immensely. She was just beginning to realize the true dangers on the island.

Tessa nodded slightly. "First though I need to pick up those mint leaves. Would you like to come with me this time?" she asked and the shock faded away fully. She had to do something for the people on this island, one person at a time, starting with Edmond. Being the first person she had made contact with on the island she felt safer somehow, just by his presence.
