⇆ ♒♒♒♒♒♒a class of highschool students are being taken on a trip via bus, and the date is 24th November, in the midst of winter. the bus drags itself along the soaked mountain road they need to cross so as to reach their destination. the vehicle slips and a tyre skids on the rainy tarmac as the bus collides with the mountainside and flips over, landing upside down. glass lays shattered and the ground is speckled with blood. only 6 people made it out alive and now they have to survive the cold, the thunder and the lightning, alone.

asdfghjklthe girl standing in the corner of the room, her sleeves bunched down over her hands and her eyes flitting about nervously, is called clare willow stewart, pronounced 'clair wihl-oh stew-art'. she was named after her grandmother on her father's side, both first and middle name. she would have liked something a little more original, maybe, but she doesn't dare speak out against her parent's decisions. the girl - a young woman, really - is eighteen, born on the seventh of april nineteen ninety five. she's american through-and-through, with an older brother who was the star of the football team in high school, and now in college.
asdfghjkljust a few pointers on her looks- the girl is small, just reaching five foot five, and not heavy at all- actually, she's very skinny, and has little to no curves anywhere. she has thick, dark brown hair that's normally pulled back in a tight ponytail or a braid, and she has light brown eyes that are normally wide in anxiety. her body language symbolizes her anxiety, too- she always has her arms crossed across her chest, as if she's hugging herself, and she always walks likes she's carrying a ton of weight on her back.
asdfghclare could most accurately be described as anxious. she's always worrying about things, always caught up in her own thoughts. she has a tendency to blow things out of proportion; make a mountain out of a molehill. if a plane decides to make an innocent noise when she's on a flight? her reaction would be oh my god we're going to die i'm too young to die i haven't done half the stuff i want to do oh my god oh my god, and she'd carry on like that until the flight ended and everyone was safely back on the ground. she's also very shy, and barely ever talks in class. she has a group of close friends, and that suits her fine. she likes animals, and she's very good with them. she hopes to be a vet someday, but only with domestic animals- things like coyotes, wolves or even wild dogs terrify her. are you ready for her list of fears, because it's very long. altogether, she suffers from a fear of darkness (achluophobia), claustrophobia, caulrophobia (fear of clowns), emetophobia (fear of vomiting), a fear of being laughed at, a fear of being alone and a fear of hospitals. Her absolute worst fear is storms though- she almost got hit by a falling lamppost during a storm when she was younger, and the memory's haunted her ever since. clare has lived her life in the shadow of her oh-so-perfect older brother bryan, and that's led her to think that nothing she does will ever be good enough to live up to him, as her parents spent so much more time with him growing up than they did with her.

his name means nothing. it was not specifically picked by his parents for him, there was no effort put into the decision of permanently choosing garret ryan. it was just chosen because it was simple. it was perfectly generic. no one at the time cared what he was called, he just simply needed a name and so he was given one. he has no constantly used nicknames, considering he's not really the social butterfly, though he once had a friend who insisted on calling him gare-bear even though he disagreed with her calling him that. but honestly, he couldn't have cared less because after all, at least she was taking the time to talk to him. so he really has no standards for nicknames, or names in general. call him what you want.

the boy was born in the autumn, on the twenty-third of november in nineteen ninety-four. this makes him eighteen going on nineteen. he's a soon to be graduate, which he's proud of mostly because he's leaving high school with his regents diploma.

yes, quite obviously garret's a male. not that he looks to be anything else anyway. he doesn't even slightly have the figure of a female and last he checked he's got perfectly working male reproductive organs.

Tall, thin, and perpetually beat up.
garret is a typical teenage boy. he doesn't particularly care what his hair looks like in the morning when he wakes up, and what ever clothing he has lying around suits him well. though of course he takes proper care of his hygiene, he just prefers the way his hair looks shaggy, and the outfits he throws together when he needs to be dressed. he's a tall boy, six foot two, rather lanky actually. he weighs only a hundred and thirty-three pounds and has a decent amount of muscle to account for most of that weight, though unless he's flexing, it isn't really visible. so much for gleaming pecs, buffed up arms, and a gorgeous six pack. though garret never really wanted any of that anyway. in fact garret never really wanted to look any certain way, for the most part, he was content being him. once he had gotten past the fact that his eyes are the most boring unattractive, shade of brown, and that his body is covered in unwanted scars, and especially that he was not what girls 'wanted' and lastly that his hair is an uncontrollable brownish blonde mess, though that's okay because its just better that way. now garret does have copious amounts of scars which remind him of all the times he's kept a secret from his friends, mostly because they're the result of his fathers constant rage. he became notoriously clumsy to cover it up, and honestly after a while, its hard to keep acting clumsy in front of your friends. its tiring. it gets old. but it's a part of his appearance, the scars, the injuries, its a part of his existence. you learn to live with what you've got. though garret does have one scar he hates having to live with. its a large gash like scar on the upper right side of his back from when he was attacked with an ax. not something he like to be reminded of.
the boy tends to wear what he wants, when he wants. he doesn't care what's 'in'. mostly though he sticks to clothing himself with jeans, even in the summer, he rarely wears shorts. he also likes t-shirts, and sweaters, and jackets; but who doesn't? and sometimes when his hair is completely out of control he'll wear a beanie hat, because its easy, and nobody cares if you have a hat on. he own's two pairs of shoes. an old beat pair of black ankle high converse and a newer pair of grindle authentic vans.
his best physical qualities though, are his eyes, even if they're a dull brown color people don't seem to appreciate, and his smile. his teeth are white, from being cared for normally, and when he grins at a person it could melt them away. but not because of how attractive he may look using the muscles in his face to smile, but because of the emotion he caries behind all of it and the way his eye's betray his forced withdrawal of expressing all his feelings to others. he's an incredible burden to bear, whether he believes it or not.

garret ryan corwin comes from a very broken family. not his fault of course though, he was born into it, he didn't even have a choice. he was introduced to the world in a small metropolis hospital that his father went to often on many accounts of alcohol abuse and drug overdose. he was quite the addict. he never really knew his mother because when he was two and a half she left with out him to get away from his abusive father. he doesn't understand why she left him, and he never will, but she never showed much interest in him while she was around. it's possible he was a mistake. wip.

Heterosexual with absolutely no relationship experience.
Garret always loved girls. even when he was little boy having the time of his life in pre-school. he was quite the charmer at one point, though as he got older he became quieter, and when it really mattered, he couldn't muster enough courage or self confidence to even really converse with a girl he liked. this is why he never had a girlfriend; but girls could partially be blamed for never giving him the chance as well.

Music, skating, comics, reading, and history.
garrets a very interesting guy with a lot of personal secrets. though people he can consider his friends, have caught a grasp on his hobbies, he's not exactly into people so the things he is into are rather blatant. like how he's a huge history geek. but not just any history, his narrowed his opinion down to having an obsession with american, history. especially around the american revolution and civil war eras. now he doesn't like american history just because he's a pretentious douche bag who cares for only america. oh gosh no. it's mostly because it really interests him. he's passionate about it. kinda like how he's passionate about reading. books are his escape from reality, besides music of course. he prefers to read science fiction, but realistic fictions good too sometimes. his three favorite books are the great gatsby, the art of racing in the rain, and a wrinkle in time. garret's also got a liking for comics, especially batman and/or nightwing comics, and not just because dc makes much better comics than marvel. he took up skateboarding because its good at helping him relieve stress, its a simple way to get around places, and because quite frankly its just enjoyable.
music is the most important thing to garret though, because with out it, he'd surely be lost or confused about his being. music is the real doorway to a persons soul; not the eyes. even if no one else was ever there for garret, music always was, and that's why he's so strongly connected to it. he's into alternate, and rock, and some very specific rap. the strokes are his favorite band, and he's constantly listening to music. in fact, he always carries around a pair of headphones. even if he cant use them, or doesn't need them. and that's not weird at all.
