Melody giggled at his joke before shaking her head. "Really, I'm the lucky one here. You're amazing sweet and caring and considerate and thoughtful and romantic and just amazing." She smiled, looking down at the ground. "I'm just the shy girl who does't talk to anyone beside you." Melody blushed because it was true. He was her only friend. Being around around people made her silent and deathly afraid to speak. She got a little anxious around strangers, but she never got to knew them because of her fear. James was her friend ever since they were little, from before she had become so frighten of people judging her for what she said and she was thankful to have him. Melody didn't know what she'd do without him.

Lilli smiled as she said goodbye before putting her phone into her pocket. Leaning back on the porch step, she stretched her legs out and relaxed as she waited for Skylar to arrive. Of course she knew it wouldn't take very long considering that he didn't live very far away. Her families ranch was large, but it wasn't very far out of town. Sometimes she couldn't help but wish that Skylar would meet a girl who could be what he deserved. Skylar deserved a girl who allow herself to be with him, someone who would hold his hand in public and tell the whole school that she was with him. Lilli wished she could be that girl for him, but she just couldn't. It wasn't that she didn't like him, she just couldn't make herself take that leap to be with him as a real couple. She knew she was being selfish by hooking up with him like she was when he could be out finding someone else.

James shook his head, "I'm telling you, I am the lucky one." He said again as he leaned forward and kissed her cheek. "So what if your shy? Your perfect to me." He told her before pulling back slightly and smiling. "Anyways how about we go do something fun? We can spend all day together doing whatever you want." He offered with a grin. Melody being shy was one of those things that were fact. It had been that way since not long after they met. If she was happy not talking to many other people than he was happy to let her be shy. If she asked him to help her get over some of her shyness, he would go to the ends of the earth to help her.

Melody blushed, accepting his kiss happily. This is exactly what she had meant when she had said he was amazing. He had this way of waking her feel better in a matter of seconds. "Mhmm," She mumbled, settling back into her bed. "Let's sleep all day!" Melody exclaimed, pulling up the covers over her face. She was still tired, seeing she would have slept hours longer if James hadn't woken her up. She didn't mind, though, she enjoyed his surprise. Melody sat up, remembering his surprise. He grabbed the chocolates and opened them eagerly. She popped on in her mouth, her eyes lighting up. They were honestly the best candy in the world in her opinion. "Oh my god, thank you so much, sweetie."

James laughed, "I'm sure your dad would just love for me to spend all day in your bed." He smirked and stood up to stretch. Seeing her eyes light up as she ate a chocolate made him smile brightly, "Your welcome beautiful, come on lets g do something before your dad adds on more time to what he's making me do!" He joked leaning down to kiss her cheek. "I'll be outside so you can change, then it will be just us doing whatever you want all day." He said walking over to the door and stepping into the hallway before closing the door.

Melody burst out laughing at his comment about her dad. "I'm sure he'd love it!" She exclaimed with a smile. She popped another piece of chocolate in her mouth, watching him leave. The young women sighed, getting out her bed. She set the sweets on the nightstand beside her bed before heading over to her closet. She leafed through he clothes, searching for something to wear. With a smile she decided on a plain white tank top with flowing, cascading fabric and small white embroidered flowers, and a pair of white knit flats for her attire for the day. Melody quickly got changed before heading to her bathroom and grabbing her hairbrush and attacking the knots in her hair. She yelped as she brushed out a a big one, her face red. Once she had brushed it all, she pinned back her bangs with a white hair pin. Satisfied with her hair, Melody grabbed her toothbrush and toothpaste, quickly brushing her teeth. She rinsed her mouth with Listerine and smiled at her reflection, checking her teeth. Melody exited her bathroom and returned to her dresser, fumbling around with her makeup, deciding to go with only a little mascara and some lip gloss. She knew James didn't care about how much make-up she had on. The young women gave her self one last look in the mirror before grabbing her phone and a bright blue bag that already contained her wallet and some other essential things for her to have while out. Melody exited her room, closing the door behind her. "Ready."

As he heard her yelp, he couldn't help but frown in concern. As she came out he smiled, "You look great." He told her taking her hand and leading her down the stairs. "Where do you want to go?" He asked as they walked out the front door. "I know the carnival is in town, plus there is always the movies, the zoo, the park, anywhere you want to go." James smiled as he spoke, "Your wish is my command today." He told her with a bright grin.

Melody blushed at his compliment. "Thank you." She smiled, looking down at her shoes. "I don't care where we go, but the carnival sounds fun!" She has loved the carnival ever since she was little. She always had the best of times there and absolutely loves the thrill of the rides. Roller coasters are her favorite, but she loves any ride that seems utterly terrifying. She likes rides that have you hanging upside down and rides that go incredibly fast. It was all so exciting to her.

James grinned and led her over to the truck before opening the passenger door for her. "To the carnival it is then." Once she was in, he closed the door and walked around to the drivers seat and got inside. Sticking the key in the ignition, he turned the truck on and buckled his belt before pulling out of her driveway. Turning towards the fair ground, he started the short drive to the carnival. "What do you want to do first?" He asked as he took her hand and held it on the seat between them.
