Welcome to Marlin Island. Founded in 1943, Marlin Island was named after its adventurous founder, Ray Marlin. The island is a quiet, beautiful area where locals live nine months out of the year but for three months each summer, the island turns into a vacation paradise for young adults looking to get away from school, work or people. Most visitors come to stay all summer but some come in and out. The ones who stay, rent out beach front houses for the three months and usually get jobs at some summer hotspots to keep the cash coming in. The guests are usually roomed with complete strangers so you learn to make friends quick. On the island there are various places to explore and see alone or with your new found friends. Multiple town run businesses offer jobs to summer residents.
I think the newcomers should be warned before they do anything they'll regret. Not all of the locals are too keen on these kids using their home to party all summer and leaving it worse than when they came. So sorry to say, but it will be a lot harder to attempt to make friends with the locals kids than assumed. But with that, I'd like to say goodbye and good luck on your summer, folks. I'm sure I'll see you around.

Here's where you'll be staying this summer, vacationers! It's been called home, or the beach house. Either way, this is where you'll sleep, eat, bathe, and meet people who can become your best friends or more. There's eight of you sharing the home this summer. We, at Marlin Island, hope you enjoy your stay here and find everything as lovely as we do.

These are your bedrooms. You should be pleased to know that each room has an ocean-front view to wake up to each morning along with a personal balcony. Each bedroom has a door to their own bathroom. We're sure you will enjoy the large living room and kitchen the house has. As an additional bonus, the basement of the house holds a personal theater for your viewing pleasures.

We have four different places of employment for you, young adults on the island. The first one is The New Charlotte Street Diner. This quaint little restaurant, gets rather crowded during lunch hours and for dinner on Sundays for the 'Sunday specials menu'. Another place of business is Blue Brick Cafe. The cafe is a popular coffee shop where the locals like to drink their morning coffee. Alice's Flower Shop sells the most beautiful flowers found on the island. And last, we have Lucky Buttons Bookshop where the bookworms of the island enjoy spending their time.

general apperance I have long, black hair that extends to my lower back. My eyes are a bluish-grey color. I'm rather tall and slim and have very fair, Irish skin.
hair As I said, my hair is black and long. It holds a slight natural wave but is mostly straight. I have dyed my hair before; actually quite a few times. I was born with black hair, but bleached it and went to a light blonde. After I got bored looking normal, I dyed my hair a lavender color for almost a year before my mother made me change it. Then I went ginger, trying to take up the more Irish side of me but I've recently decided to go back to my natural black hair which I believe suits me best.
eyes My eyes change from blue to grey on a daily basis. Sometimes they correspond with my mood. When I'm upset, my eyes reflect a dull grey but when I'm happy, they are a sky blue. Usually, my eyes stay ice blue, almost grey but when grey, they have a silvery look to them.
body mods I'll start with my piercings. I have both of my ears pierced like a normal girl does. I also have the top cartilage of my left ear pierced and studded with a diamond earring. As for tattoos, I have too. I have two small birds in flight tattooed on my right wrist. The birds resemble freedom which is all I want. My other tattoo is on the ring finger knuckle of my right hand. This tat is of a single arrow. An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is pulling you back, it means it's going to launch you into something great. My mother doesn't know of my tattoos since I've been hiding them from her since spring break.

personality Oh my, where to begin. I'd like to say I'm normal but I don't think I know what normal is. I think if you saw me, you'd think I'm some deep, dark girl with lots of secrets and hidden messages but I'm not. I'm into expressing yourself and telling people how you really feel. I guess I'm very honest and real. I will say that I'm arrogant and snobby, occasionally thinking I'm better than my peers. I love attention and strive for it. I've always been of a high social status; meaning I would be classified in a popular clique if someone asked. I've always found it easy to make new friends and sometimes it seemed like people hoped to be my friend. I think I have one of those personalities where people want to know more. But I guess they don't see my blatantly obvious flaws. I'm cocky, stubborn, and materialistic. I guess it means something that I know and acknowledge this about myself. I'm very prideful and take all of my actions incredibly serious. I do accept responsibility for everything I do, good or bad. I am a sweet, caring person once I get close to you but also to complete strangers. I find first impressions to be insanely important so I strive to show people the best of me. Only after you know me, you get to see the bad parts of me.
I am a very trustworthy friend, if you tell me something, no one else will know. I'm great at keeping secrets and know my place. I rarely overstep my boundaries. My cockiness doesn't get me very far in school or sports. And my stubborness ruins a lot of chances for me. My materialism isn't awful but isn't good either I guess. It's something I need to get over and I'm working on it. But overall, I am a nice girl with a few bad qualities but most find a way to accept me even with them.

family Well I live with both of my parents and my six siblings; two girls and four boys. Our house gets pretty crazy sometimes with nine people living in it but we manage.
Starting with my mother, Elaine Faust, 45. Of course she started as Elaine Montgomery before she married my dad. The two love birds met in their freshman year of college and were married the summer of sophomore year. Before they graduated from college, they found out they were pregnant with my brother, Lucas. My mother graduated and had her first child a few short months after. This put a stall on her career searching a made her a stay at home mom for the first year of Lucas' life until she finally found a job nursing at the local hospital. She still works there today.
Dad. Christian Faust, 46, claims that when he saw my mom, it was love at first sight. Even though I don't think my mom gives him enough credit for what he does, dad still loves her so much. I think he loves her as much as he did on their wedding day, maybe more. My dad's a total romantic. He brings my mom her favorite flowers at least once a week. My dad is a superb chef and owns his own striving restaurant. Best part is, he named his restaurant after my mom, 'Little Elaine's'.
My oldest brother, Lucas, 23, is super athletic and has a passion for soccer. He played his whole life and all through college and is now looking into professional leagues. I look up to my brother for his incredible determination. Lucas is moved out and bought his own house with his serious girlfriend of five years now, Sara. We're expecting Lucas to propose soon and start a family.
Next is my other older brother, Daniel. He's 22 years old. Danny just moved out and into an apartment across town. He goes to the local university and is in his final year to become a business manager. The family just learned that Daniel has a new girlfriend, Emma. We'll see how long he stays with this one since he is a sort of player.
My oldest sister, Lacey. She's the successful one of the family. She's 20 but is starting college in medical school to become a doctor. Although Lacey is smart and successful, she's always been a sort of stick in the mud and has never had much time for fun. We do believe though that once Lacey has reached her goal, she'll loosen up and start to have fun.
I gotta say, Hunter is my favorite sibling. He's just a year older than me, being 19. The family has nicknamed him Freckles because of all the freckles on his face and arms. Hunter is super easy going and fun. After he graduated highschool, instead of going to college, Hunter decided he was going to travel. He started with a cruise to the Carribean and has visited seven countries in Europe already. He recently came home to visit and spend some time with the family before going on his travels again.
I was born next after Hunter but a year and a half after me, my little brother, Connor was born. Connor is 16 years old but doesn't look like the rest of the family. Connor has lighter hair than all of us. We joke and say Connor was adopted and when he was little, he believed us. Connor is truly a ladies man. He seems to have all the girls chasing after him in his grade. He's a real jock and is the captain of the football team even though he's only a junior.
The youngest of the Faust family, is my 14 year old sister, Avery. She's extremely smart but super crazy. This kid has the energy of a six year old. She really athletic and plays every school sport she can plus private leagues.

Elizabeth Grace Winchester. The young girl's name, well she is twenty years young. She was born on August 24th in a tiny town in Kansas to Mary and John Winchester. She lived on her farm since she was born. Elizabeth is female and will slap you if you ever confuse that. Elizabeth goes by Beth for her parents or anyone she knows. Elizabeth for stranger, Izzy for her two best friends. Elizabeth is the dancer out of her small group of friends. Beth has a slight country accent to her voice that is very visible, but not too thick.

Physical features of Beth include a blonde beauty with hazy green eyes. She is not completely thin, but she is average with a tiny bit of muscle. She is around 5'7 in height and she weighs around 139 lbs. Elizabeth likes to dress more casual, yet tomboy. Elizabeth grew up in a small town in Kansas on the outskirts on a large farm. There she was raised happily. Selling produce and dairy at the farmer's market, enjoying farm life. That was until she passed a guitar store. She got her first guitar when she was seven and has been playing it ever since. She also sings. She loves her life on the farm, but also the life she has set ahead for herself. Beth also has a dog and cat. A border collie named Missy and a brown tabby cat named Jinx. Also, when Elizabeth was ready to move out she headed to Marlin Island and became a hostess. She has adapted well. Beth learned to surf and is becoming more of a local than just a new comer. She is very liked in the community and makes friends easily.

Elizabeth Elizabeth is a feisty girl. She enjoys being a girl, but she is more on the tomboy side. She isn't afraid of getting dirty or breaking a nail. Beth is the more.... Outgoing, feisty, sarcastic girl everyone hates at first, but then soon love. Even though she seems like she will tear you to shreds with her bare hands she actually has a soft side. Deep down she does enjoy just hanging out at home and watching a movie instead of partying every night, but she does love to party. Beth does not seem like the girl who would sing, but she does. She has been singing all kinds of music since she was only 5 years of age. She still sings today and is remarkably good. Beth is protective of her loved ones and friends. Don't mess with her or her friends. She lived on a farm so she is a pretty good shot with a gun. So there is your warning if you mess with her or her loved ones.

"well, most people describe me as quiet, kinda smart, sensitive and honest. quiet, because, obviously, i'm quiet. i barely speak, so you're lucky i'm answering these questions. singing is something i enjoy, which is generally the only time i 'talk' fluently. well, kinda. most people want to know why i don't talk much, so they ask me, and i honestly answer 'i don't know'. and every time i try to be confident, people hate me for being different to normal. ugh. and, when i do talk, i pause and think about my words a bit too much.
"as i said, i honestly answer the question 'luke, why don't you talk much?' well, that's because i have an extreme tendency to be honest, no matter how much trouble telling the truth would get me in. i suppose, in respect, there are two sides to each coin, so it could also be counted as a flaw.
"sensitive. now, i'm awfully sensitive to words and things like bugs that crawl over me. they're sort of separate things, i guess. but, if you say something to me and i dislike it, don't surprise if i hold a grudge against you. also, whenever a bug or whatever brushes against my flesh, i literally spaz out. every time. even it's my hair...
"lastly, 'clever'. well, i'm smart in the fact that i actually think about what i say before i say it as to most people who just blurt out their words, but i also analyse situations... that's why i don't talk much! because i analyse stuff and want to be left alone! yay!
"i always write and draw and stuff in pencil because i'm allergic to ink - stupid, i know. i'm also allergic to bee and wasp stings (i get freezing cold, then boiling hot, then freezing and then i get mild paralysis in the limb or area i was stung in. hornets, i don't know, but i assume the same on an increased scale.
"i have two major phobias - ailurophobia and topophobia. ailurophobia is the phobia of cats. now, hear me out - cats are terrifying if you have sensitive skin. don't ask me why because it sends shivers down my spine, but, please - try and respect that. topophobia is the fear of certain situations - an example would be the stage. i have a horrible phobia of being in any form of attic, basement or corridor. again, don't ask me why.
