On April 26th, 1995 a bouncing baby boy was shown to Mr. and Mrs. Barcaroli. They named him Joseph David Barcaroli. Joseph, because well, they liked the name Joseph. David because it was his great grandfathers name who had passed away a year ago. And Barcaroli was his parents last name. He never did really get a nickname, Joseph wasn't really that long of a name nor was it hard to say. The closest one was, Joe. It was given to him by his younger sister. Her name was Jordan and she got a real kick out of them having the same name, for everyone called her Jo. But thankfully for him, it never stuck with his pals.
5 feet 11 inches and 175 pounds Joseph, 18 now, is an adult.Though he chose to stay home and work on the farm instead of going on to college in the bigger cities, his parents are still proud of him. The only bad part is that they are worried that he'll eat them out of house and home. But he isn't over weight by any means, no too much time lifting bales and working outside.
After a few weeks Joseph was brought home, to a small town in North Dakota. From that day he was born and raised a country boy. As soon as he could walk, he would follow his daddy around everywhere, helping as much as he could. He sat proudly next to him in the family's green John Deere tractor. He has worked his entire life on the family farm and loves it. He enjoys going and working up the fields and harvesting and even better caring for the animals. It was always a joke among them to say he was came out of momma's stomach riding a horse. He loves riding the trails and moving cattle from
pasture to pasture. This farm is his life and he don't want anyone to screw it up.
But don't worry he's not a drop out. No his folks would kill him if he dropped out. He always has to take a portion of out his day to do his school work. To stay working on the farm, he has to keep good grades. Although he believes family is more important, his parents believe otherwise. Before he goes out riding or too any backyard parties, all homework must be done. And he's pretty good at. He's an average A-B student and its good enough for him.
Now usually Joseph takes up after his pops. He's laid back and real easy going. He loves teaching the younger ones or anyone about life on a farm. He's real good with the kids and loves just hanging around with friends and just having fun. He's not a real romantic or emotional guy. He takes things slowly and not too seriously. All he looks for is a good time. But as much as he got his daddy in him, he also got his momma in him too. When his patience runs out though, he can have a real temper. Usually it takes a lot to get him worked up but he has his weaknesses. He can get into a passion real quick, but it saps quickly. He tries his best to move or just walk away before he explodes.
From his boots to his hat, Joseph is the perfect cowboy. In public, he isn't always seen wearing his hat, but at home you betcha. His momma has rules though, no hats in the house. As soon as you set through that door, you hang you hat on the hook and boots are off outside the door and placed neatly by it. Also all barn smelling clothing is tossed in the washer and washed immeadiantly. And before you sit down at the table you have to freshen up, but other than that, its a care free life.
Joseph has closely cropped black hair and shaved stubble. He won't grow a beard until he is at least middle age 30 or 40, that's his rule. He was bright blue eyes and also a brilliant smile. His closet consists of flannel shirts, cut offs and faded blue jeans. He can also dress up in his Sunday best and party best too. But he doesn't have sneakers and only 2 pair of dress shoes. He can almost always see him wearing his cowboy boots.
Wait! We can't forget his most loyal friends, Texas and Buddy. Texas is his 5 year old gelding. He is a paint mustang and was born from Joseph's favorite mare, Misty Days, a black leopard Appaloosa. He is a mustang as he is a mixture of breeds. And then there is Buddy, his now 12 year old and half deaf border collie. They are his best friends and he spends plenty of time with them, going for rides and runs and just playing around.
