Ｐａｔｃｈ Ｈｏｌｍｅｓ

Patch Ryan Holmes is a simple boy from a simple town who leads a fairly simple life,
right? Wrong. Patch's life has been anything but simple, full of tragedy, heartbreak
and unexpected twists and turns which have forced him over the edge more than a
couple of times. He was born on the 31st of October 1993, making him 19 years old
at the present time. He was born in Jefferson City in the state of Missouri. Since
he was born and raised in a rather large city, Patch found that he was constantly
surrounded by people and unlike most people he knew, he hated that. Patch has
always been a very shy person, he never liked interacting with the general public
and preferred to keep to himself. His parents always encouraged him to go and
talk to people, make friends, but that was never something he was talented at.
As Patch grew into his teenage years and attended high school, he started to get
bullied quite a lot due to the way he dressed, styled his hair and the things he
took an interest in. The bullying got to the point of Patch's property being taken
from him and vandalized and even some physical assault. He was called names
like emo, gay, f*g and other sorts of hurtful things. At this point, Patch could
only ask, "Am I?" Well, in truth, Patch is emo and he no longer sees that as
something to be ashamed of.

He had two sisters. Katara (26) and Breeanna (22). Patch loves his sisters and thinks
of them as some of the only people who understand him and who he can talk to, though
it's not often that he sees them now. Patch moved out of his parents place as soon as
he turned 18 as he no longer seemed to get along with his mother and father. He
decided that if they didn't want him around, he would be doing them a favour by getting
out of their house, so he found his own place. I bet you're wondering why Patch had this
sudden falling out with his parents. Well, it all started with a very bad decision. At age
17, Patch was going through a really difficult time in his life. With all of the bullying and
his extremely low self esteem, he started taking drastic measures to try and make people
like him more. He thought he was overweight so he became bulimic for a while, forcing
himself to become thinner and thinner until he was on the verge of anorexia. He also
began cutting as a way to fight the constant numbness that shadowed him. As the days
went by and Patch's issues got so bad, he no longer had the will to get out of bed in the
morning. He dropped out of school and refused to leave his room. This was where the
whole dilemma with this parents began. They refused to have a son who would do nothing
with his life. They started seeing him as a nuisance and treated him poorly. This is why
Patch chose to leave. However, now that he was alone, he was probably worse off. He had
nobody to make sure he was okay now. Patch didn't want his life to be this way. He wanted
so badly to be able to fight, so he called the one person he knew he could rely on. His older
sister Breeanna. She lived with him for a few months, giving him things to distract himself
from his habits. He started drawing a lot and that kept his hands busy. She kept constant
watch on him and made up a diet for him so he could put on a little bit of weight and not
feel guilty. Patch fought his darkness with all of his heart and eventually, made it out alive.
Breeanna left him to his own devices once she was convinced he was okay and left him with
a dog to keep him company and a bracelet which he vowed to never take off.

In the way of relationships. Patch has only ever had one and that did not end very
well. Long story short, the girl got teased for being with him, so she chose her
reputation over her relationship and dumped Patch on the spot. After that, he was
never really interested in relationships. The last thing he needed was a broken heart
on top of everything else. Though he desperately wants someone he can hold, he will
not give his heart away to just anyone. We should probably establish that despite all
of the rumours, Patch is actually 100% straight, though he has nothing against gay
people. In a girl, Patch looks for someone he can trust and who won't walk out on him
for some silly little reason. He likes girls with brown eyes and who can make him smile.
As a boyfriend, Patch is very protective and quite clingy. He doesn't like to be left alone
so he likes to know where his girlfriend is and spend as much time with her as possible,
though he respects a girls personal space and can always accept it when they need time
alone. He will always defend a girl no matter what, especially if he has feelings for her.
As a brother, Patch is kind of troublesome. He never caused too much trouble for his
sisters, but he did like to keep them on their toes, particularly when they were assigned
to babysit him when he was younger. As a son, Patch is probably a living nightmare. He
isn't really one to hang around with his parents too much, he isn't even in contact with
them anymore so that rules out most of that section. As a friend, Patch is the quiet one
who likes to keep his opinions to himself, though he always likes to make people laugh
and goes to any length he can to make his friends smile.

Appearance wise, Patch is around 6'4 tall, so he is quite a lanky lad and he towers
over his sisters. His body is quite thin as he is still recovering from his anorexia.
Patch's hair was always a natural black colour so he hasn't needed to dye it before.
He keeps it straight and lets his fringe fall over his eyes which are a nice shade of
blueish grey. Patch is very pale. He doesn't like spending too much time in the sun
and even when he does, his fair skin burns rather than tanning. He doesn't have
any freckles or distinctive markings on his face or anywhere else on his body. In the
way of scars, he still has cut marks on his arms. There are lots of them so he likes
to keep them covered to keep the cold opinions of society at bay. Patch has a few
piercings. He has two in his lower lip, one in his nose and both of his ears have
been stretched. He has the word 'Restless' tattooed over his knuckles, with one
letter on each knuckle, excluding his thumbs. You will often catch him sporting
skinny jeans which are generally black or dark blue. He always wears hoodies or
loose fitting jerseys with a tight tank top or tee underneath. He likes beanies
and wears one whenever he can. Patch always likes Converse and owns lots of
pairs. Patch is also constantly wearing the bracelet his sister gave him along
with several others.

Patch's interests include lots of little hobbies, none of which include sport. He
has never been much of an athlete and prefers to keep away from those kinds
of things as he isn't very co-ordinated. He likes to draw as a way to distract
himself from anything that might be going on in life. He also likes music and
taught himself how to play the piano over the years. Patch's favourite music
artists are Black Veil Brides, Bring Me The Horizon, Asking Alexandria and
Pierce The Veil. Patch also likes photography and likes to wander the streets
taking photos of anything that takes his fancy. Patch is the proud owner of
a bull terrier by the name of Darla, this is the dog that his sister left him as
a companion so he wouldn't get lonely. Patch also likes gaming and still owns
an old Game Boy Color along with a Nintendo 3DS. He also has an PS3 which
he uses on occasion. As for a cellphone, Patch has a Samsung Galaxy S2 which is
kind of out-dated now, but he doesn't mind as long as it plays music and makes calls.
Patch is very shy at times but once you get to know him, he's a valuable friends with
a strong heart. Even though he has his problems, he can easily make his mark on near
anyone and become much loved. His life has only just begun and he intends to live it
until the end..
