My mom eyes me carefully for a moment then looked at Stephanie with the sweetest smile possible. "Hello, who might you be?" She asked sweetly and I rolled my eyes. How does someone's mood change that quick?!

"So in other words, your just as confused as I am in this case?" I ask smiling "well anyway. Now that you told me that secret, what do you want to do?"

Stephanie almost laughed at how fast her mood had changed. "I'm Stephanie." She said.

I leaned against the wall, just waiting for the question that I knew my mom was going to ask. "Well I'm Tyler's mom, call me Ms. Moore if you like. Now, Tyler, why did you decide to bring your friend home?" There is was. That little question. I sighed lightly "she has a little problem that I think you can help her with." I reply simply

Stephanie glanced nervously at Tyler, then began. "Um, well, I was wondering if I could possibly stay here for a little while, because, um, well, my parents don't really care about me. They ignore me, or get mad at me for no reason, stuff like that. Tyler suggested that I come here. And...." she trailed off, wanting to say something more, just not around Tyler.

Tyler Moore
I waited a second to see if I would finish her sentence then I glanced her quickly. She looked kind of uncomfortable or something.... I heard Lillian upstairs, obviously on the phone, talking to one of her friends about how I'm changing back already. I sighed "ill be right back." I say quietly and walk upstairs.

Ms. Moore
"Don't start anything with your sister! Your already about grounded as it is." I warned then turned back to Stephanie "did you want to finish your story?" I ask smiling

"Um....and my dad beats me sometimes." She said quietly, lifting up her shirt to show her stomach. There were red scars and welps lacing over others, and after she had stood there for a few seconds, she turned around, showing more on her back. After putting her shirt back down, she lookedat the floor. "There's more on my thighs." She said.

I walked to my sister's room and opened the door after hearing her start whispering something that I know involved me. "Who're you talking to?" I ask crossing my arms

Ms. Moore
I cover my mouth in slight shock. "Well of course you can stay then! You're lucky we have an extra room...I would give you Tyler's and make him sleep on the couch if we didn't." I say smiling slightly "not like he doesn't deserve it anyway though..."

Lillian Moore
I jump and quickly hang up the phone "no one!" I yelled quickly then dashed past him and ran downstairs. "Mom! Tyler's teasing again!" I cream and run out back.

Ms. Moore
I roll my eyes "I swear these two act like little kids... Tyler come here!" I yell up the steps and I cross my arms as he comes down the steps slowly, as if he was awaiting a punishment.

"I didn't do anything to her so I don't even start yelling at me." I mumble and stand at the bottom of the stairs.

Ms. Moore
"I know better than to believe you sister in these cases." I say "well why don't you show Stephanie where she will be staying quick then you can go get her things or whatever while I start dinner."

Tyler Moore
I nod and look at Stephanie "alright then..." I say and start walking back upstairs
