My name is Derek. Derek Hans Kingsley. It's a pleasure to meet you. I am seventeen years old, and a male. Well that's that. I don't really know what group I'd fall in, as far is cliques go. But I hang with everyone. I'm athletic, but I don't consider myself a jock. I'm not really a try-hard, anyways. Or annoying, and I don't try to show off. Anyways, I like meeting new people, so don't be too shy to come over and say hello."

He may have the good looks, the kind eyes, charming smile, and athletic look, but that doesn't make Derek, Derek. Anyways, Derek stands at 5'11, even. He's of average build, leaning more on the athletic side. He is a bit of a health nut, and not only exercises daily, but eats healthy nearly all the time. He plays soccer, football, baseball, and basketball, as well as being a track and cross-country star. His strengths lie in soccer and cross country, coming in a close third is track. He'll be sure to get scholarships. He's ripped, that's the last of it. Derek has an athletic figure and build. He has a square jaw, broad shoulders, and well, the look of a young man, I suppose. Until his personality shines through. His personality makes him seem more boyish. His fingernails are kept short, and he dresses fairly nicely, mostly in dark jeans and a flannel or long sleeve button up shirt of some kind. He likes plaid shirts. You'll probably see a friendship bracelet on his wrist, he likes those. Usually only one or two, though. He has a certain charm about him. He needs to walk tall and straight, though. When he walks, usually his shoulders are hunched forwards. Derek has pale skin. He has a wide, full grin and a straight nose. His eyes are narrow and kind of squint when he smiles. They are dark, deep blue. His eyebrows are thick and dark. His hair is a dark brunette, with a copper undertone to it. Its clean cut but not short. He usually just pushes it up into what you may call a unicorn horn. No, he doesn't gel it, his hair is just easy to play around with. He has thin, light pink lips and often a kind of serious look about him, unless you know him.

Okay, so for the most part, you might think Derek is this serious, young kid who's cute, but not really personable. WRONG. Wrong wrong wrong. That's just the way he might come off if you so happen to glance him over. Truthfully, he's crazy. Derek has a ton of energy and is bouncing off the walls. He usually has a smile on his face. Upbeat and easy-going, he'll definitely bring fun along with him wherever he goes. Ever since he was a young boy, Derek has always been sent of to camp every summer and winter, his dad just couldn't handle him. So Derek is used to be on his own. But he's really sociable, and loves people. Expect him to be the kid trying to get away with hosting a party in his cabin. He's so totally not shy. In fact, Derek loves people. Lots. He's the total clown, always getting a laugh out of someone. A little daredevil, he's up for anything, and doesn't really play by the rules. Naughty and a good person to chill with if you want a good time. Witty, clever, cunning, he's real. Ya, know? Doesn't hide who he is, isn't afraid to admit anything. This boy doesn't really have any secrets. Although the subject of his father is a bit touchy. You know that one kid who is upfront and honest, no matter what? Well that's Derek. And he's also the friend that needs to learn how to whisper. A long time ago he came to terms with who he is, and has let everyhting go. His insecurities, his worries, wondering what others think of him. And that's what makes Derek, Derek. He's totally free, and happy. Because he is himself, and isn't afraid to be who he is. The rare kind of person who is totally comfortable in their own skin. And that's that.

Let's get right down to it; Derek is Derek, and that's who he is. He will only be with someone who accepts him for him. It's actually kind of cute, when it comes to Derek and his little crushes. He becomes all shy and giggly and coy when it comes to talking about people he likes, or discussing the topic of love or whatnot. He's a total sweetheart. He's had two girlfriends and one boyfriend over the years. That's right, Derek is bisexual. Deal with it, as he tells anyone who bothers him about it. His first romance was the typical starting out dating thing, in the eigth grade. No biggie, just this girl named Anna Sophia. They broke up after four months, and she was his first kiss, with a girl anyways. She moved after about a year. His next girlfriend was a little more serious, in tenth grade. They were close friends, and then dated for a long time before calling it quits. The only reason they broke up was because Derek had begun to realize his sexuality, and decided he better start exploring. They remain friends to this day. Her name is Grace. In Eleventh grade, came Georgie. Derek's first and only boyfriend. Well, not quite yet. They met in eleventh grade, and got to know each other. Georgie was totally and completely gay, while Derek was bi, and still figuring things out. They gradually grew closer until they began dating. It was a learning period for both, but mainly Derek. It was a give and take sort of love, a real relationship that tests your limits and makes you live not just for yourself, but for the other person. Derek and Georgie really liked each other. But as most things end, so did this. Georgie was moving halfway across the world to Europe with his parents, and so sad as it is, the boys broke up. There was nothing they could do. Long distance is tough, especially if you're half a world away. So that ended things in the middle of senoir year, and Derek's just been single since, not really looking into dating anyone.
