Serena nodded. "I see." she replied, moving her gaze towards the water. "My f-friends are a b-bit wild a-at times, s-so I u-understand." The girl looked up to see her friends all having fun with the boys. They were all busy flirting, and soon the girl stared back at her feet, realizing Elliot would probably leave her soon because she was probably boring him to death. But the girl couldn't help it. She was just shy and it took some time for her to open up.

Elliot nodded, though he thought wild was a bit of an understatement for some of the girls. "So," He began looked around the site before resting his gaze back on Serena. "You aren't actually wild like your friends, huh?' The young man asked with a small smile. He could tell she wasn't but he didn't mind. He enjoyed her company and didn't mind he wasn't going crazy like some of the others. Elliot himself wasn't much of a party animal himself, but he did like people and socializing. He can have fun at a party, but he wasn't one to get hyped up unless he had consumed too much of something he shouldn't have, like energy drinks and alcohol.

"N-No. I-I'm too s-s-shy..." the girl stuttered, gazing down at her feet. "I-I-I'm n-not good w-with s-s-strangers." Serena bit her lip and felt too shy to even look at the guy, so she fixed her gaze on the water, again. "T-Though I w-w-wish I c-could be w-wild s-some... s-sometimes." she added softly, trying her hardest not to stutter, but failing with it.

Elliot listened to her stutter her way through her words. 'Hey," He said putting a hand on her shoulder. "It's okay." He said, looking straight at her even though she couldn't bring herself to look at him. "Those girls will probably look back and think, 'Wow, I was really stupid for doing that stuff' while you'll look back and be glad you weren't one of those girls." Party girls were the one who got in trouble. Party girls got drunk, which lead to a whole bunch of problems. These girls were hard to handle sober, let alone drunk. They made drunken mistakes, ones that could effect them forever. Serena was probably better off being shy.

Serena flinched as Elliot suddenly touched her, her gaze looking up to meet his for a second, before she shuffled a bit away from him. She couldn't handle it when strangers touched her. It made her even more uncomfortable, and mostly speechless. Except when it were hugs. The girl loved those, no matter what. "I-I'd rather h-have t-those p-p-problems as m-my p-p-problems." she managed to bring out, with a lot of effort.

Realizing her lack of comfort, Elliot let his hand drop from her shoulder. Instead of comforting her it had made he feel more uncomfortable. "Well, if it means anything I like you better than those girls." He said gesturing to the so called 'wild' girls, which was true. He preferred someone he could have an actual conversation with than someone to get drunk with.

The redhead pulled up her legs, wrapping her arms around her knees in an attempt to comfort herself a bit by giving herself some sort of hug. She let Elliot's words float through her mind a few times before the shy girl managed it to give meaning to the words. "T-Thanks." she stuttered, still gazing at her feet. "I-I'm trying."

Elliot nodded, studying her for a moment. "So," He said in an attempt to lighten the mood. "What brings you and your friends out here?" She knew that boys were here because they got lost, but he didn't know why they were out here, though he figured to just party with each other. At least, that what most of them were doing when they first came across them.
