Jake listened to Brendon and watched him carefully, he listened to the question he was asked. He thought for a moment of how to answer the question and then said to him,"Oh, I just have trust issues I guess you could say, or you could say I was a bit scared. Sorry." Jake walked over to the couch and sat on it and he looked at Brendon hoping that nothing would go wrong.

Katie stared at Lavender for a moment and then looked at the dog with a bit of sorrow glimmering in her eyes, she had never known how it felt to have a family not accept you. Katie looked back at Lavender and then said,"Oh, my Mom said this would be a good place to go." Katie smiled.

Brendon frowned, feeling bad that Jake thought he was going to hurt him. He wondered what happened to this boy to make him so skittish, or maybe he was always that way. "I'm sorry," he murmured, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. He wasn't used to apologizing to people, actually he hardly ever did. "Is there anything I can do to not make you so afraid of me? I mean, I'm not going to hurt you."

Jake watched Brendon as he rubbed the back of his neck and apologized, Jake felt kind of bad he didn't really want Brendon to apologize since it was mostly Jakes fault. Jake listened to Brendon and his question, Jake thought for a moment of how to answer this and then said,"You don't really have to do anything, you've already assured me two times that you weren't going to hurt me. I should believe you, sorry I'm weird." Jake laughed a bit at how he called himself weird, and then thought to himself at how he should just trust be friends with Brendon and not worry to much. No one was going to hurt him here and no one other than the people in this house could really talk to him so he was feeling better but he was still worried about Brendon and his headache.Jake then looked at Brendon and opened his mouth and said to him,"Do you need anything for your headache? You can't really take anymore Tylenol since you've already had some, but I'm willing to help you try to feel better." Jake smiled and was now being himself, which was rare for someone to see unless they were Brad, his best friend.

Brendon gave a soft laugh, shaking his head. "You aren't weird. I'm the one who picked you up, anyways." It had been stupid, he shouldn't just randomly pick people up. At the same time though, he had been feeling playful, and didn't know that the other boy would react the way he had. No matter, they were alright now, which Brendon was actually glad about. It was nice to know that he had one friend here to count on, he didn't think Jake was going to abandon him again, especially since their little talk.

When Jake brought up his headache again, he just shrugged. As pointed out, he had already taken two Tylenols, and he really shouldn't take anymore. Not like swallowing a bunch of pills was going to make his headache any better, any faster. Still, it was bothering him, even the light was starting to become an annoyance. It was his fault though, for drinking the previous night. And the previous day. "I don't really think there's anything to help it," he said, frowning. "It'll just go away when it wants to, I guess."

Jake smiled at how Brendon had said that he wasn't weird, and laughed when he said that Brendon had picked him up, he felt like a puppy for how he was obeying him and talking to him. Jake continued to smile as he listened to Brendon, he didn't plan on suddenly disappearing like a ghost or when someone stole your food. Jake was a bit upset when Brendon had said there was probably nothing to help it, Jake could always leave and stop bothering him so he didn't have to listen to Jake but he didn't want to suddenly leave him or lie to him. Jake then looked at Brendon and said,"I could always leave so you don't have to listen to me." Jake sounded pretty stupid and waited for what Brendon would have to say after Jake said that.

Lavender: "Yeah. My dad called me names in public and slapped me at home." She says quietly.

Brendon actually didn't really want Jake to leave. He was nice company, at least that's what he thought. There was no way to know what was going on in the other boys head, and he wasn't really trying to figure it out. He just hoped that if he was doing something wrong or the like, that Jake would tell him instead of just letting him continue doing said thing and well, basically being an idiot. In his eyes, at least, it was just easier when everyone was honest about stuff. "I don't really want you to leave," he said aloud, not really meaning to. "I mean, if you want to, you can." He assured him, making sure he knew that it was ultimately his choice. "But I like your company, you aren't bothering me."

Jake watched and listened to Brendon carefully, he continued to smile. After Brendon had finished talking Jake then said to him happily,"Oh I actually want to stay, I just thought that I might be annoying you." Jake laughed a bit, and thought to himself how weird he was at the moment. He was acting like himself though which he was pretty happy about, the tiredness he had earlier had disappeared and he wasn't that grumpy now. Jake then thought of how boring it would have been if he didn't find Brendon laying on the couch or even really talked to him. Jake was happy that he didn't feel like a loner and he felt somewhat better than when he had first arrived thinking it was going to be the worst time of his life.

Katie had heard Lavender say something terrible and Katie's heart just broke like that, she got up and hugged Lavender. Katie then opened her mouth and said to Lavender,"I'm sorry I can't understand how it feels, but I know it probably feels terrible. I'll always be here for you." Katie was telling the truth, she usually was always there for people she cared about and she would come rushing to the at any time unless she had something like family in the way.

Brendon never had to worry about feeling like a loner. He just got along with people, off the bat. Not afraid to speak up and make himself known to everyone around him. Funny, attractive, and a leader, all good qualities. The only people he really didn't get along with were other leaders, unless they were working together, and then it was like the best friendship ever. Either way, he saw himself getting along just fine with Jake, considering they were such opposites. Maybe being around him would calm Brenny down a bit, and perhaps his presence would make Jake a bit.. more outgoing? "Well, maybe it's stopped raining, we could try that swimming thing again?"
