violette allegra; the dancer
xxxxxAfter the dance had ended, Violette stalked over to Jonathan and took a seat next to him, perching on the barstool. The dancers were technically supposed to be backstage, but the woman did not pay any attention to that fact. She liked to linger around after the first number, watch the other performers and make small talk. She could get away with it, too - the owner wouldn't question anything she did. She perched herself on the edge of the stool and crossed her legs, very ladylike. "Evening, Winston," she greeted the barman first, out of courtesy. She then turned to Jonathan and met his twinkling eyes, feeling that no greeting was necessary. She then turned to watch her sister's performance. Violette herself was a singer, but her weaker alto never compared to her sister's soaring soprano. Of course, that didn't stop her from making notes. Kristen was fabulous, but Violette made sure never to praise her too much; it was her belief that she would stop working as hard. She noted a few places where the girl went sharp - it was probably due to the elevated temperature onstage, but nonetheless it was an error to point out. A few more stylistic changes, and the girl was finished. She clapped politely along with the rest, winking at her kid sister as she walked offstage.
