KRISTEN LEWIS

"How am I doing?" she asked Logan continuing to play. After being rudly interrupted by her sister. "Bye Logan." she said abruptly getting up to follow her sister. "Here." Kristen said handing her sister the coat and following her along to go eat something. Kristen watched as the director stormed off to his office. "serves him right." the red head muttered smiling a little on the inside. "I am not your honey." she shot back at her sister becoming a bit enraged at how her sister treated her. Kristen decided to not say much more, and at the present moment she would rather be with Logan then getting food for her sister. The red head couldn't believe her sister would be dating or madly in love with jonathan he was a pathetic man who did nothing right in this world, a selfish man that Kristen despised.

violette allegra; the dancer
xxxxxViolette took the coat from her sister and slid inside it, turning abruptly to face her. "No, dear, it does not ' serve him right, ' " she said, placing air quotes around the words. "You don't talk badly about your elders, especially your employers. You'll be fired in an instant. You're lucky I'm your sister." The brunette turned back around and continued walking. "And yes, you are my honey," she added, adjusting her leotard under her coat as they walked. "We should be back here in about an hour and a half," she said, glancing at the clock. They were supposed to arrive at ten thirty, but they had to leave time to get dressed and warmed up. Jonathan never accounted for these things when he told them when they should arrive; it wasn't his fault, he was a busy man. She sighed a bit at the thought of her lover. She wasn't just with him to ensure her employment - he was an attractive man, and although he was old, he was quite good. She did take others occasionally, but her employer was becoming a more prominent man in her life. She was reluctant about this, as Violette Allegra is never exclusive, but she guessed sometimes things changed.

KRISTEN LEWIS

"He wouldn't fire me, your his favourite." Kristen simply shot back. Jonathan would not fire Kristen because she was the sister of the beloved and talented Violette. It was true that the director fancied his dancers, the man payed little to no attention anywhere where Violette wasn't. Kristen could become so outraged with her sister at times. The redhead had become extremely protective of herself, seeing that no one ever did for her. Pulling on her coat she followed her sister, still thinking ugly thoughts about the director. Kristen shook her head wondering why she was the sister that never got the spotlight, she and her sister were so different it amazed her how they were even slightly related. Deep down she wished she could steal the spotlight off her sister for a chance and become the main attraction, but wishing wasn't going to get her anyway. With a sigh she droned out her sister's words and continued walking behind her.

Logan Ty Leven

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Pianist - Twenty-one years old - In-love with Violette - Best friends with Kristen -

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Logan heard his father come out from behind the cutrains, yelling at Logan that he had to be back here at 10:30PM, and no later. He merely grunted, grabbing his binder and closing the fall of the piano before he hurriedly walked back to his room, the opposite direction of his Dad's office. His office was probably filled with the scent of cigars, which Logan wasn't very fond of, but hey, to each his own. If his Dad wanted to smoke, because he wouldn't listen to him even if he tried persuading him to not smoke, he'd probably ignore him and choose to yell at him instead.
Logan soon reached his "study", which was basically just the last door at the end of the hall to his left. There was a door that was in the middle wall at the end, but nobody entered it because the key for it wasn't found, and it was pitch black in there (there were no windows to allow light through). It wasn't that Logan wanted to enter that room anyway; it looked creepy enough as it was. There was also the fact that his "study" was just a wall apart from it, and he sometimes freaked himself out that some sort of creepy figure would lurk through the walls at night and try to loot the bar. Maybe he watched too many horror films at the local theatre. Whatever.
Logan took out his key and unlocked his door, fiddling with the rusty bronze knob before opening his mahogany-coloured door and closing it.
The reason why Logan called the room his "study" was because there was hardly any room to sleep. He had the smallest bunk-bed not fit for a twenty-one year old in his room (even though he wasn't even as tall as he'd like to be), and that was pushed up right against the wall. He used to joke that his room was just a "bigger janitor-sized closet". It wasn't surprising to see that he had called it that, because apart from the bunk-bed, he had an oak table, several parts of it filled with both blank and filled-in paper, a lot of sheets with staffs on them, a couple of pencils and ink pens, two erasers (both quite worn-out), a mug filled with cold tea, and a pack of orange Tic-Tac's. On the wall in-front of the table was a calendar, with a simple picture of the constellations as its theme. Above the desk was one of the only large things in the room: a window. It had dusty blinds, but when you looked out out of the window, you could see an old alley-way and an old barber pole's sticking out of a what looked like an ancient building.
The barber shop itself was rather popular, because the people in there were awfully friendly and did great hair-cuts, but the pricing wasn't pretty.
Underneath the table was a small but sturdy garbage can, and in-front of the table was a foldable black chair.
At the back of his "study", next to the door, was his tiny closet, where he found himself wearing the same kind of things every single day- a sweater of some sort, dark jeans, and loafers. For performance night, he always wore the same tux. Tuxedos were far too expensive to afford, so Logan had to keep re-using the same one, over and over. But it wasn't very many people that saw him after the show, so he was alright with wearing the same one. And besides, many tuxedos looked the same, so it probably didn't take into effect that people would think that he'd be wearing the same one that he'd worn before.
Stashed at the top shelf of the closet was a shoebox (typical) filled with old photographs, and that included two photos of his Mom (he had stolen two from his Dad's office without him noticing when he left his door open one time when he was younger), and a couple of old scenic photos taken from who knows when. He also kept a photo of Violette that his father had taken, again, without him noticing, and everytime that he looked at that photo, he felt a surge of strength to continue doing what he was doing. He felt that he kept her going. And then, of course, there was a photo of him and Kristin, and he had to say that he liked it very much.
In the photo, it had been when they were treating themselves with a soft pretzel, and Logan had taken a quick candid shot when Kristin was laughing. She wasn't looking at the camera, but rather looking down, and he was looking at the camera with his straight teeth showing. It was definitely one of his most favourite photos of the bunch that he had in the shoebox, and he kept it well hidden behind a black hat and gloves, pushing it to the furthest back, but still where he could reach it for his height. They just looked so happy, and they only seemed that way when they were around each other. For that, he really appreciated having Kristin as his best friend.
The floor of his "study" was hardwood, just like the rest of the bar, and Logan felt that he always needed to clean the floors because they were looking a little dirty. But he never did it, and it annoyed him because he didn't want to be living in a room where he'd be unable to breathe because it was so contaminated.
Before Logan decided to leave the room to go walk around outside, maybe get a little something to eat, Logan closed the blinds so that no light peeped through, making the room quite dark. Logan safely placed his binder on the top bunk before he grabbed an old, scratchy coat like the one that he had been wearing in his photo with Kristin. He put that on over his grey sweater, grabbing an old Harris Tweed flat cap that he had picked up at some shop that had hats for sale a while ago, placing it on his head before leaving the room, locking his door behind him.
Logan knew that Kristin had been taken away by Violette, and he knew that they liked their time together (so he thinks). He didn't want to bother them, so he didn't ask Kristin if she wanted to come with him. She was probably busy anyways.
Logan then walked down the hallway, walking out the door before he eyed his father's office, giving it a hard look before he opened the doors to the sky that was already darkening due to night coming their way. He had a good few hours to kill, might as well make the best of it.

violette allegra; the dancer
xxxxx"I know dear, and lucky you," Violette replied as they walked out of the bar and into the crip evening. She pulled her thick peacoat tighter around her as they continued on. "So what were you and your boyfriend doing behind the curtain," she inquired with a curious lilt to her voice. She knew the two weren't a couple, but she loved her sister's reaction when she said they were. She also knew that the kid was head over heels for her; then again, who wasn't? Poor Kristin, she thought to herself. She suspected that the younger girl had a terrible crush on him, and the woman almost felt bad for being adored by the boy. But, what do they say? Like father like son. And the kid's father sure did like her. The pair arrived at a small cafe a few doors down for dinner and Violette stepped in, thankful for the warmer air and the delicious smells that swirled around the place.

          THE DIRECTOR,,
          onathan even, 45 years old.
He had spent the last half hour sitting in his chair, doing absolutely nothing but to stare at the bottle of beer on his desk. Meanwhile he heard doors opening and closing, opening and closing... That's Violette and the red head leaving... that's Logan in her room... Logan leaving his room, and then the pub. Suddenly, with quick and angry manners, he took a piece of paper, smashed it and aimed at the bin, only to miss his target after throwing it. He took a big breath and passed both his hands through his hair repeatedly; then he grabbed the bottle and drank from it longly.

That seemed to calm him down- he set the recipient back on the table, empty. His gaze was vague, it seemed that he was staring at something extremely close, but at the same time, a million miles away. He was still sober, though; He had to take a very high amount of alcohol to get actually drunk, about 3 liters. Jonathan stood up and took a glance at himself in the mirror. Besides his hair, the rest of him, his clothes and face, looked neat. He straightened his yellowish shirt and his red-and-brown striped tie, that matched with his coffee trousers. He fetched his grey trench coat, put it on, and left the room. He lit a cigar and went out to the street.

He would go the same place as usual, 'Joe the Lion', another pub. Funny, isn't it? A few blocks away from his own. The director got along very well with the barman of that place, a smart chap, who knew how to prepare drinks, of different colours, sizes or strength, he could do it for you. So when Jonathan arrived, he called to David, "The usual appletini, please." Well, he was like this, he had his eccentricities, and, as usual, the man obeyed to this particular quirkiness, setting the usual drink in front of him, with the usual chicken, cheese and olives sandwich next to it, in the usual place. And Jonathan downed everything, inmersed in the usual dullness of his life.

He thanked the Heavens that Violette existed, and that she helped him to go through each and every day. His lovely brunette saviour.

Sounds good! Yes, it doesn't seem like there's much to do during that period of time.

          THE DIRECTOR,,
          onathan even, 45 years old.
The man was back at The Burrow by 10. He had made half of his way from Joe the Lion walking distractedly, almost in a wandering state, sunk in his thoughts. He even bumped accidentally against a few people. But when he was just a block away from his own pub, images of its nightlife and the music came to his head; This was the happiest moment of all in the day- The crowd cheering, clapping, or just conversing happily- the drunks cheered up too! The singers sang to Logan's horrible piano, and the dancers danced. The dancers danced. Jonathan smiled widely and rushed to enter The Burrow once again, eager to see her, his special brunette. But first- let's buy something special for that lady, shall we?

Jonathan decided to enter through the front door this time. Between the bustle of people in the place, he found and greeted some of the customers he knew- "Hey, Jack, how're you doin'?","Old Mr. Meyer, you certainly are loyal to The Burrow!", and "I'm glad to see you Mrs. Hudson, it's been a long time since you last came 'round!". Then the director went backstage to see if his night performers were there, by any chance. He saw no one for the moment, but they might have been rehearsing somewhere else, and he didn't bother to look for them. Honestly, he believed in his heart that they wouldn't be late. Partly because he was in such a good mood, and on the other part, because it certainly wasn't convenient for them. So, lacking any kind of worries for the moment- which was about a miracle- he went to his office, once again.

After taking off his coat, he fetched from one of its inner pockets- ah! the little something for Violette. He hoped she would like it. He also hoped he had money in his wallet for something better. He always forgot to put more cash inside it, because he kept the rest in a safe box behind the mirror. After putting on some of the dancer's favourite colognes, he left the room and waited until she passed by, leaning against the door- with the 'little something' hidden behind his back.

violette allegra; the dancer
xxxxxViolette and her sister ate at the little cafe, the dancer chatting to her sister, and each remark being met by a moody nod. Goodness, she really can be too much sometimes, the woman thought, but no matter. It was getting close to ten, and they had to be back to get dressed and such. And so, the pair hurried back to the bar, and Violette parted from her sister as they neared the dressing rooms in the back. She removed her coat and slipped into her costume, a skimpy thing that was even tinier than her practice leotard. She buckled her dancing heels and applied a fresh coat of lipstick, and she checked herself in the mirror a final time. She spun, wriggling her behind as she checked the fit of the outfit. As an afterthought, she applied a small amount of her lavender perfume - a gift from her favorite gentleman, of course. She turned on her heel and made her way through the corridor, hurrying to meet the other girls and warm up a bit before their show started. On her way, however, she noticed Jonathan in the doorway of his office, watching her walking down the hallway. The dancer slowed her pace and turned to face him with a girlish smile playing across her lips. "Evening, sir." She greeted him. She knew he liked the ruse of professionalism that they sometimes put on.

KRISTEN LEWIS

"Don't you dear me either." she growled. "Nothing." Kristen replied, she had resisted the urge to say something foul and unruly but decided against it. Kristen changed into a pastel blue dress that came to her knees, short but not too short, pulling on some cream stockings and trying her hair into a curled orange pony tail. After giving herself a good look twice she applied some rouge lipstick and a bit of blush. That just added to her normal look. Slowly she flattened her dress and slipped on her shoes, she looked at herself in the mirror for a minute and then stepped out looking for Logan. He would probably be were the most handsome thing on tonight, a tuxedo. Kristen loved seeing Logan in a tuxedo he looked so gentlemen and so fancy. Kristen walked over to the directors office, hoping not to come into any contact wit the horrid man, only looking for his son.

The browneyed girl watched as her older sister was trying to charm up the director, how she hated the relationship, especially thinking of how he was such an angered man who had moodswings quicker than Kristen could put on her makeup. Deciding Logan would appear sooner or later she sat down the pub just before it were to open for the evening show and asked for a shot of vodka, her mind had been a bit stressed lately, Kristen however only on this occasion having something to drink just to dull her brain. As usual Kristen did have a bit of stage nervousness. She breathed in and out and tried relaxing.
