THE CHARMING PRINCE OF FOOTBALL
THE BLINDLY LOYAL
ROWAN sat alone in the math classroom as he had for the past thee months in an attempt to bring his grade up.Despite the teacher's valiant attempts at helping him, the star football player was still earning a D. A sigh of frustration passed his cracked lips and his head fell, landing with a dull thud on his arms. It was hopeless. Of course he needed to pass this class to graduate and continue with football and of course he couldn't. Anger and helplessness churned in his stomach, making him feel sick. Rowan shoved away from his desk in a hurry, keeping his head low as he slipped out of the room and down the hall. The boy tried to retain deep, steady breaths, afraid that if he worked himself up enough, he'd black out. The boy stood miserably in front of his locker, his forehead pressed against the cool metal as he closed his sea-green eyes.

PRICKLY FACADE
LUCIFER shook his head, watching the other kids as they congregated around the school like lost sheep. Grunting softly, the boy pushed himself off of the bench, figuring he'd have to enter the imagination slaughter-house sooner or later. With one last look of longing around the outside world, Lucifer stepped into the bleak, unwelcoming hallway. Girls giggling, jocks laughing, people whispering. The boy felt a warm, thick mass press quickly against his chest. With a disgusted glance down, he pushed the freshman away. "Watch where you're walking." he growled, shaking his head as he grabbed his books and headed off towards the library before class. Lucifer slumped into an armchair, his vision becoming distant as he slouched, his chin resting on his palm. Only a few more months and he'd be free. It's not that Lucifer was a bad student, he just chose not to show that he may have potential.
