I flashed him a raised eyebrow glance, feeling a little unsure of his reply. I wouldn't question the truth of it. If he was lying, why would he be honest now? I blew some hair out of my face and spoke up, "Well I'm fairly buddy-less. Can we call a sort of friendly truce? You seem harmless. I prefer to dislike people that don't appreciate my bitter, aquired humor or just.. You know. Are irritating." I found myself sat back on the bleachers, a girl nearby giving me the creeps.

(My character is in gym right now. But maybe they could have the next class together? Would math work?)

I nodded slowly, not sure what had just happened. Did I just make a friend? I couldn't be entirely sure. I had never gone through such an experience. "Are you asking if we can be...friends?" my voice squeaked a bit on the last word and I cleared my throat before scratching my head again. I don understand, who would want to be friends with me? I was like social leprosy, very contagious. Or at least, that's what everybody seems to think. Where had this girl been?

Spring leaned back, taking in all the words, her phone now ringing. She muted it, peering down at the pictures her mother had sent her of her horse, prancing around like a pimp, what a show off. She smiled, putting her phone down slowly. There was no way in this world she would be playing dodge ball, so she had too find something else too do, in the gym.

Seeing nobody paying attention, Spring sat down on the hard wood floor, plastic cup in hand. She put it down, beginning to tap it quickly, quietly singing.

Mulling over his tensed question with a pensive face, I gave him a half grin of reassurance and opened my mouth again. "Whoa whoa. Friendship is so sudden. I just want a buddy man." I joked, making it sound like he was asking something absolutely ridiculous of me. Then I bumped his gut lightly with the back of my wrist. "Yes, friends." I'm gonna call this experimentation of social interactions because I honestly have no idea what I'm doing right now. He was just so incredibly.. Bashful. And uneasy. I found it endearing, considering I'm the complete opposite. The coach was giving us a watchful eye. Understandable, considering we weren't moving a muscle. Which is sort of mandatory in gym class. A girl playing with a cup in the corner grabbed at my attention. I couldn't hear her, but she seemed to be singing something.

Spring smiled, seeing all the attention she had got just by singing the first few words of the song. And she could also the coach walking her way, and she jazzed up the cup part lifting her voice a little. Anything too get out of this gym would be amazing! Spring kept on playing keeping a eyeon the coach, slowing down but being cheered on too continue.

I looked at her strangely. "Alright...you don't think I'm..." I gestured to myself before adjusting my glasses. "uncool? Nerdy? Social leprosy?" I shut my lips together tight, not expecting tha much to come out. I didn't know if I was still supposed to be cautious or not, but I couldn't help but feel uneasy. Everybody hated me, and with this girls witty comments and fun attitude, you'd think she could get better friends then me.
