Julie walked outside. She checked her phone and saw more insults and she felt her heart and head pound. She chucked her phone away hitting a building and bouncing into the street. Her phone shattered and then got ran over by a car, and was smashed beyond compare. She felt good, she went inside. She danced with a few people talking a little happier and speaking a little more. Soon later she found Selly again! "Sel!" She called and ran up to them.

Noting the blue-eyed boy's lack of perception on his sarcasm, Zigzag once again found himself chuckling something bitter. How stupid... he told himself as he shook his head, but then another thought crossed his mind. ...How endearingly stupid... Endearing? What was he doing, tricking himself into thinking he cared about someone else like that? Well, he did get you to drop the paperclip, and you're not sobbing anymore... Um, ew. That was something reserved for sappy female protagonists in books like Twilight. Only they ever encountered love interests that suddenly made a difference when no one else could. Whoa, whoa. Love? Jesus Christ, Zig, what the hell is going on? Who are you, man? Come back to Earth! Doing just as he told himself to do, Zigzag refocused his vision on the boy before him and noticed they were still looking each other in the eye. However, the other boy had a profuse amount of guilt beaming from his irises now, leaving the tall tragedy a bit put off. He was even more thrown off when he was asked the reason for his attendance. "Me?" he asked. "I already told you, or...showed you more like it. Don't make me actually say it." Zigzag sat back down on the bench, his body language not exactly rejecting the other boy an invitation to join him.

i didn't realize how stupid the question was until the other boy replied- i guess i was kind of distracted when i said it, his eyes were really pretty-stop thinking like that i commanded myself, what was i thinking? "o-oh ya," i said, feeling guilty for asking "s-sorry" i said while he sat down, i felt akward standing there, and i didnt know if he wanted me to go away or not, i want to stay, i didnt know why but i did. i want someone to talk to, not a phsychiatrist , and it seems this boy understands if you stay your going to hurt him or hes going to hurt you, i decided to take the risk, even if for a little while, i needed someone. i sat down on the further end of the bench, tense and looking down at my feet, refusing to make eye contact again, it made me feel different when i looked into his eyes and i decided not to think about that- it would only hurt

Selly turned around at the sound of her name being called. She thought it strange that the person calling her name sounded friendly and happy to see her. She looked at the person running up expecting it to be a prank or something. She was surprised and happy to see Julie running up to her. "Oh Julie, hey! I didn't know you were still or I would've looked for you! I was just trying some of these.... erm delicious orderves. You should definitely try some" she said jokingly. 'I think you just missed Jimmy, he might've gone to mingle but I don't really know." she looks around curiously around wondering where Jimmy could be. She turned back to Julie and questioningly asked hey "Hey I called you did you get the call? I don't know if I had service or not."

"So you decided to stay," Zigzag commented, stretching his long legs out before him. "I'm surprised I didn't scare you off." The typical response to his presence was, "OMG, that's the emo cutter! I thought he killed himself already!" or, as was definitely more popular, "Have you seen his arms? They're frickin' scary!" Therefore, Zigzag definitely wasn't lying when he said he was surprised when the boy sat beside him, even if there was a significant space between them. He's either as or more jacked up than me, or he really doesn't mind the scars, he decided. ...The former's obviously the real matter. Turning his head to study his companion a little closer, he spoke up. "...What's your name?"

i was nervous and scared, but much less scared than i was at first. your going to hurt him. hes going to hurt you. hes going to hate you. those thoughts kept swirling around and around in my head like they always were. i heard him comment on him staying and was instantly scared, was that the wrong choice? did he want you to go? do i want to go? that last question to himself wasnt familiar, and i couldnt answer- i wouldnt answer, if i did it would only hurt- so i dismissed the last question. i was surprised when he asked my name, i looked up " e-echo... w-whats yours?"

Echo. As in, a repeating sound created after an initial sound wave reflects off a surface. As in, destined to come back until it at last...dies. Gazing curiously as this Echo, Zigzag nodded his approval. "Greetings, Echo, or so I suppose is the polite thing to say," he offered, shrugging at his own statement. "This must be the part where I give you my own name. You can call me Zigzag."

zigzag. it suited him, i really liked that name. i wanted to tell him that, all the usual thoughts came racing back to my mind. ill say it now, quick, before i lose my courage. "i-i like your n-name, it s-suits you" i said, terrified of betraying my thoughts. but also somehow relieved. i gave him a small weak smile, hoping he wouldn't yell, or hit me, or leave me alone again.

Zigzag gave him a small smile, but it wasn't entirely friendly. He was definitely warming up to Echo, no denying that, but he was still an antisocial individual, and time was key. "I didn't come up with it," he said, partially explaining his nickname. "Though, I did come to appreciate it." He looked down at his arms, covered in layers of black fabric, and beyond them his legs; none of his limbs had been spared mutilation. "It suits me, like you said. It suits me real good." Zigzag looked back at the other boy. "Is Echo your real name?"
