" God has given us a creature that hold Fire, Grace, Beauty, Passion, and the will to love. Horses don't judge a person by their appearance, but by their heart. Which is probably why some of the weirdest people ride. A horse that grants you the right to ride on it's back is something that can be considered a test. Every time you get on a thousand pound animals it can kill you, though it doesn't. So when you ride, jump, or just go on a trail ride always thank your horse.
Thank your horse
for allowing you to fly when you jump,
for allowing you to become a work of beauty and a piece of art when you do dressage,
for allowing you to run free when you race over the ground,
for being a friend when others might not have been,
for never judging you based off of what you look like,
and most importantly pat him on the neck and thank him for not killing you when you fell off...
Because you know he could have if he truly wanted too."

" I will be very straight forward with you. I can be cruel and mean. I joined this place because I want to learn, and better understand horses more then I do know. I di not come here to have fun and party all the time. I will be a bit rude when I first meet people, because that's when I decide if you are the right person to hang out with. If you are lazy, not hard working, and don't put 110% in everything you do. I will likely treat you rudely and un-friendly like. I'm sorry that is the way that I work. Though if I do deem you worthy to be friends with you I can be fun to be around. I can be friendly and fun. Also when I'm in a lesson I take things very seriously and will likely not talk to anyone while the instructor is teaching. Even if you talk to me, if it hold no importance in it I will likely not respond, sorry. I wish you luck in trying to be my friend, though you my see some surprises in the way I act. Just wait, and watch."
Desert Jewel
Aka Jewel
5 years old
Don't let this sweet face fool you. Her name might be Jewel, but she can be as mean as a snake. If she doesn't know someone and they approach her she will charge. She doesn't trust people she doesn't know. So far the only people she has allowed to walk up to her is Blake and three stable hands back at Blake's families farm. She knows that she beautiful and she can act like a mean and sassy horse. She always holds her head high and when she doesn't like something she'll let you know; by either not moving, or just buck you off. Only Blake so far has been able to ride her without any difficulties. When Blake is riding Jewel she acts like the sweetest horse in the world. She will do anything he wants her to do. She has bad habits though. When she's in a stall she'll kick at the door, bite on the bars, or she'll try a way to open the door and get out. Thus earning her more pasture time. When in the pasture though she likes to be alone with no other horses in with her. If there is she'll fight to be the dominant one. Which is bad because she'll fight until the other horse is on the ground possibly dying. Yes cruel, some have wanted to euthanize Jewel for the potential danger she puts to other horses. Though when Jewel made a friend and allowed another horse to be in her pasture that thought went away. So far the only horse she has allowed to be in a pasture with her, to this date is Sunny an old gelding work horse. By coming to this place Blake is hoping that Jewel will be more friendlier.
Jewel is one of the best jumper at Blake's farm. She has great potential and so does Blake. She has been trained (By Blake) to do cross country, show jumping, and some other tricks that he learned from his father. Like if Blake whistles in a high pitch Jewel will come to him obediently and quickly. She also can be lead without a halter (Again so far only with Blake) She will even jump bareback. (With blake) She also knows a few more tricks like bowing, and smiling, and more.
History
Blake and his dad's side of the family grew up in Saudi Arabia. His mother didn't like the idea of leaving the US and going to live in a foreign place so she left Blake and his father. Though Blake hardly remembers her now. He was seven when she left. There Blake grew up in the desert. No one really bugged them, they just had some people who you would call maids and butlers but to Blake they were family. Growing he had to look after the purebred Arabians that his father owned and trained to sell. His father taught him the basics, and then he let Blake start training by himself when he was 10. His first horse that he had to break was a young year old black mare. Blakie was her name. She was the sweetest horse to ever step hoof on the family farm. Soon Blakie became the best jumper in the whole farm. She made it to nationals, but sadly on the way there a group of men wanting the prized mare attempted to steal her. Though when they tried Blakie fought back until Blake and his father arrived to save her. In the process though her leg had been wounded because of the wooden stall. She retired and gave birth to her first foal, named Jack. He was the most ill-tempered horses that you would ever meet. Blackie who wouldn't let us separate the two, Blake's father released both; Jack and Blakie out into the Arabic desert. When Blake was 17 he heard a new wild horse would be showing up at the farm. He grew happy because this would be his new project. When he met the horse he was amazed by the horses Beauty. A white coat as pure as the sun. This very young horse was soon named Desert Jewel, since she would be trained as a show horse. Blake worked to grow a friendship with the horse and soon the two were always together. That's how it's been. Blake and his father moved back to the US, a year after they had gotten Jewel. There they've been living nicely in a slightly smaller farm, but without the sand.
(He may not look like he came from Saudi Arabia, but he did. )
