Emily Doe ; Mood: Excited, tired, happy

Emily nodded and bit her lip, she didn't like blood days at all. Growing up she hated needles, she still squirms when she has to get one and she can't help but feel bad for the poor creatures she could tell they didn't like it either. She just sighed and grabbed a bottle of rubbing alcohol to clean the area of skin they were going to draw blood from, then sat down next to Charlie with more than enough space between them for CMA's only male dolphin to fit. She silently hoped Charlie would take the job at drawing the blood, occasionally she has to draw it herself but it was probably her least favorite part of her job.

Giovanni Zedekiah Lafromboise ; Mood: Tired, gloomy

Giovanni woke up later than he had hoped, he slept through his alarm clock. This gave him limited time to get ready for the day. He quickly comber his hair and brushed his teeth before grabbing his bag and heading outside to his pickup truck. It took him about 30 minutes to drive to the aquarium and when he looked at the time her realized he was a couple minutes late. He hurried out of the truck and into the aquarium heading down to the sea caverns. As much as he loved working at the aquarium he was still not in much of a good mood considering he was late and he didn't have time to relax a bit in the morning before heading out the door like he normally does. Giovanni gave himself a few more moments to try and wake up before looking for the girl he worked with, Quinn, so they could get started.

"It's fine," Victoria grinned, but didn't take her eyes off of the blood-filled syringe as she carefully set it down on a clear tray that sat on the cement. People from the lab would come collect samples before opening. "I didn't think you were the type to go ahead and stick a needle in a dolphin's vein anyway." Victoria half-teased, sitting cross-legged on the wading platform. Winter quickly overcame her small injury, and went right back to splashing about. The sun was out now, illuminating the water of the main pool. It seemed to be a nice day, so hopefully it wouldn't rain. "Um...I think we should wait to do physical therapy until at least ten, because people normally like to see her prosthetic before the show starts. I guess we could just practice for when the place opens.." Victoria trailed, adding a shrug. She reached over into the water, dragging a blue mat across the top of the water. She set it out for Winter, blowing the high-pitched training whistle to get the cetacean's attention. Winter worked well, following Victoria's hand-signals to swim around the other side of the mat. Victoria snapped her fingers and held arm palms up, and the dolphin responded by flopping over onto the mat and pushing her way back over to the platform. Victoria responded by clapping softly, yet enthusiastically, and tossing a couple of fish into Winter's open mouth. Positive reinforcement was everything.

Charlie watched as Emily cleaned Nicholas' peduncle area, just before his flukes. Charlie reached for the syringe and needle, about to draw blood from the Bottlenose. "Might want to look away," He grinned considerately. Emily always dodged blood-sampling, so he assumed that bleeding animals and needles weren't her thing. He swiftly inserted the needle into Nicholas' vein, filled the vile with blood, then pulled it out and set it carefully on a tray. He wiped one little drop of excess blood away from the tiny wound, and rubbed Nick for comfort. He quickly forgave his trainers, then began batting the softball around with his nose again.

"Um..yeah. I actually came over here to get some more fish for the otters." Faith replied, scooping up one of the small Cownose Stingrays. She found that they were the cutest of the two ray species at CMA, with their little curved cephalic lobes. Although, the Bluntnosed stingrays were a close second. She loved the feel of them, how soft they were. The public seemed to enjoy the stingrays' texture as well. Of course, they probably had no idea that they were actually touching the ray's protective outer layer of mucus. Oh well. After drawing one more small vile of blood, she glanced at her waterproof watch. It would be opening time soon. "I better'd go, but thanks for letting me help you," Faith grinned at Reece, then climbed the couple of steps to the small stingray balcony, disappearing into the storage room. She came out a few minutes later, two large buckets of semi-frozen fish in tow. She immediately returned to work at the otter enclosure, tossing fish to the hungry mammals.

I nodded my head. She was right. I wasn't the type for needles. Last time it was blood sampling... Let's just say... I had offered to mop the floors. I just didn't like needles in general.. But who did? Not even the animals liked the needles. I couldn't blame them though. I continued to make my way until I was beside Victoria. I smiled at her. "How about we each do an hour of practice with Winter? Though she does listen to you better, it's the best if we get her to listen to me more too. Even though she really likes you." I said with a smile, looking down in to the bucket of fish we had for rewards and there were nine left. "I'll go refill this. You just keep practicing with her." I said, picking up the bucket and heading over to where we kept the fish. I filled the bucket to about half way before I made my way back to Victoria and Winter. I smiled at the both of them, throwing a fish in to Winter's mouth when I had gotten back.

I let out a breath. I had gotten at least 5 syringes full by now. 6 more to go... I took the full tray and set it on the cart where the people would come and take it. I made sure that I had labeled each and everyone so that they don't get mixed up or anything like that. I then took the other tray with the empty syringes and went back to my previous spot. "Phew, well..." I said, watching as Cocoa had come up and nudged my hand. I chuckled softly. "Sorry Cocoa. I have no food for you yet..." I whispered, going to pet him. "So you are just going to have to wait Mister. Unless..." I said, standing up and going over to the fridge. I took out some lettuce then headed back over to the pool. "Shhh... Don't tell anyone..." I whispered, watching as he happily munched on the lettuce before swimming away.

"Oh please, she likes you way more. I'm far too bossy with her." Victoria chuckled softly, sitting back of the platform. She propped herself up against the cement, watching as Winter flopped about on her pool mat. "You can go first." She grinned, half teasing him. She closed her eyes and felt the warm sun on her face. Getting up at five-o-clock in the morning was never easy, especially since she was the type to sleep in. When Kasen had walked away to retrieve fish, Victoria had taken a moment to glance at her brother, whom was still sound asleep on the bench despite the morning commotion. Perhaps she should wake him up.. or let Ricky and Lucy out to do it for her. Either way would work. While enjoying the sun's rays, she went over the daily schedule in her head; 9:15 am- opening. 10:00 am- The Winter and Panama show starts. 10:10 am- Winter's physical therapy. 10:45 am- show ends. 11:00 am- Otter and turtle show begins. 11:30 am- Shark presentation. 12:00 pm- Exotic fish presentation. 1:00pm - The Nicholas show. 2:00 pm - Boat ride to Winter's dolphin tale adventure. 3:00 pm - boat ride back to CMA, stingray feeding. Then the aquarium closes around 5:00 pm. Perfect; all planned out. That eased Victoria's OCD a little bit.

Emily gave a smile of gratitude and looked down for a moment while Charlie drew the blood. Once he was done blood day at the back of her mind again she did not like to think about it if there was no need to, and there were other things they need to do before the aquarium opened and Nicholas's show started. Emily turned to Charlie 'What should we do before the show?' she asked him. She knew they had practice for the show but she wanted to know how Charlie want to do it, he was more experienced than she was and she wanted to see what he had in mind.

Giovanni had been waiting for about 10 minutes for Quinn to arrive so they could get started together but to his dismay she never came and after a few more minute he figured she wasn't coming today at all. He was a little late himself and doing everything to prepare for today's presentation took awhile so he was at a loss for time. Getting back on his train of thought he began to work on the things he needed to do to begin the day trying to shake the frustration he felt for doing it all by himself but he knew being frustrated would not get things done any faster.

I chuckled softly. "You're not bossy. Personally I think that I am to much of a push-over for her. She seems to like to swim all over me if you know what I mean. But if you want I can go first. I have no problem with helping her train. Besides, I have this pretty cool trick in mind that I really want to try out on her. I think that she will excel at it." I said, bringing the bucket closed but not to close. Last time I had the bucket of fish near the edge she tipped it over and ended up eating them all before I could even clean it up. Though it was funny, it was a little frustrating that she did that. So now I always make sure the bucket of fish aren't near the edge of the pool. The blew the whistle, getting Winter's attention and watching as she seam over to me. I bent down and pet her. "We are going to go over something's okay? And I'm going to try and teach you something knew..." I murmured to her softly, smiling kindly.

Once I had finally gotten all of the samples I placed the last tray onto the cart. I moved the cart off to the side a little before I went back over to the turtles. I checked the time, it was not even close to opening time yet. Sigh... I always liked opening. But that was because near the opening time we have the turtles feeding display and it's really cool. Plus I love feeding the turtles. The scuba gear stuff tends to get heaving when it's on you but once your under that feel water you barely notice it. I live watching the kids faces as I feed the turtles down there too. There faces are so cute... I've always loved little kids. Almost as much as I loved the sea turtles. I stood up and stretched, deciding to go for a little walk around. Sure there were something's that I still needed to do with the turtles but after seeing all that blood... I really did need a break. I looked at the trainers with there animals and smiled. It was always nice to see how well the trainers connected with them. I have always loved the connections I have with the turtles.

Victoria opened her eyes, listening to Kasen speak. She squinted now, he sun growing more radiant as it devoured the sky. She nodded, then watched him work with Winter for a moment. Her mind wandered back to her brother, whom was still sleeping. As her gaze shifted to the poorly-painted bench, a mischievous grin spread across her lips. Victoria climbed the steps out of the pool, her bare feet making faint tapping sounds along the cement. Ricky and Lucy excitedly shuffled to the glass door as they saw the trainer approach; the duo happily perched on each of her arms. The birds were quite obedient, as they never tried to escape. They loved Sawyer, so it was only appropriate that they should be the ones to wake him up. Victoria let the pelicans off her arm, watching as they pecked at him. She quickly slipped back into the main pool, sitting down on the platform like nothing had happened. Lucy squawked loudly, pushing at Sawyer's arm with her wide beak. He opened his eyes, dazed and confused. One more squawk, and the 13-year-old had rolled off the bench. "Your wetsuit's in my office, sleeping beauty." A soft smirk tugged at the edges of her mouth as she stuck her perfectly-pedicured feet down into the cool water. Sawyer groaned sleepily, shuffling away to the office. Victoria chuckled almost maniacally, but in a joking way.

Charlie shrugged, shifting his gaze from Nicholas to Emily. "We could practice, or maybe take the shift in the Sea Caverns?" he suggested. The Sea Cavern shift was a simple shift, but still socially exhausting. Your job was to greet everyone who entered, spew Winter the dolphin facts endlessly, and let people hold her prosthetic. Pretty basic stuff, and some workers even enjoyed turning it into a competition to pass the time.
