meet ryleigh may keating where her looks section is bigger than her history and personality portions combined. this girl has a problem with eating, depression, and sometimes cutting. despite those things, ryleigh is actually a truthful girl to be around who appears to be flirting...when she just tells people how it is. ryleigh is seventeen, was born on december 16th, and has an older brother named masen. just like the majority of the world, ryleigh was bullied in middle school and her freshman year. she was originally born in north dakota. ryleigh is also a lover of the twilight series and finds taylor lautner to be extremely hot and the rest of the guy population, except for neil patrick harris, can go home. she is also that kind of girl who has commitment issues and is better at staying best friends with a dude.
{name}Since her mother’s name is Rochelle and father’s name is Rawnie, the two thought it would be amusing to name their girl Ryleigh. And, if they’re child grew up to think they weren’t supposed to be whatever gender they came out to be, the name was unisex so the kid wouldn’t have to change it. Although it is a rather common name, it suit their baby girl. Also, in order to establish they weren’t lazy when picking out her name, they spelt it differently than the others. Her middle name comes from her mother’s obsession. ‘Ya see, once you have chosen the first name for your child, it has to have more or less syllables than it. May worked out wonderfully for the name. As for Keating? After Rochelle married Rawnie, she gave up her last name, Dolleigh, for Keating.
{age} Ryleigh is a winter baby. She was born after the halfway mark of December. In other words, she came out of her mother’s womb on the sixteenth of that Christmas month. She was also born in the year 1996 - meaning that she is currently seventeen and going on eighteen.
{looks} Ever since this girl was little, she always had blackish hair. I say blackish because it appears black but once it is out in the sun, it has a hint of brown to it. Anyway, she grew up with her hair that color and has never dyed it. Although that seems normal enough, Ryleigh’s eyes weren’t. They started out a dull blue, regular and dark. With the years dawning on her, the eyes became lighter and one of her best astonishing features. She takes wonderful care of her skin, seemingly she has no pimples or acne. Yes, that is a nice trait to acquire from your genes. However, Ryleigh tends to wear make-up. Ha, she ain’t one of those girls who are naturally beautiful and have striking features that the guys must notice...not at all. Since the girl has freckles, she usually conceals it with foundation. Also, to make her eyelashes appear to be long, Ryleigh will always wear mascara along with dark colored eye-shadow and eye-liner. However, the girl only uses chapstick for her lips. Although, when going to a dance, the girl will wear devil red lipstick. Moving on, since Ryleigh is anorexic she wears about 86 pounds and is disgustingly skinny - this is why she tends to wear baggy clothing. Also, if she doesn’t wear her make up, the dark circles under her eyes are rather noticeable as is the natural pink on her cheeks, nose and sometimes her chin. Anyway, Ryleigh also has small wrists. Lining her arms, thighs, and chest are scars from the cutting she did in her past (and still does when provoked, irritated, mad, sad, ect...). Her shoe size, like her wrists, is also small. The biggest she can wear is six and a half. But, hey! One good thing comes from her not eating! She’s a size double zero.
{Personality} Ryleigh is more than an outgoing girl. She loves to meet new people and create inside jokes with them. She's better at being a friend than being in a relationship. Ryleigh is also a tad bit overdramatic at times. However, when she needs to be serious...she'll put her game face on and act mature. Ryleigh also has no problem with expressing her opinions and will get in a fight if someone acts rude to her. She is most likely to compliment people when she meets them and if they're cute...she'll tell them that.
{history} Needless to say, like others out there, Ryleigh was bullied a lot in middle school and the first year of high school. Maybe it had to do with her being new and never attending a public school...because her parents thought it was best for her to go to a school complimentary to her beliefs (Catholicism). Or it could have to do with her being flexible and cheerleader material. However, that dream would never come true due to all the tormenting at school. Since she was called fat, Ryleigh quit eating. When that wasn’t enough, she began self harm. When the torture didn’t stop, she tried to put an end to her life by standing in front of a moving train. However, her older brother, Masen, was there to stop that.
On the brightside of things, Ryleigh has been getting much better and hasn’t attempted suicide again. Although she eats rarely, still cuts when something upsets her, and has a depression issue, it’s a step forward.

His parents always loved suprises which made them unprepared for things to come. However, when it came to having a child and giving the infant a nice home, his parents were right on that. Both of them went to the viewing of the baby for the first time. The doctor asked if they wanted to know what their child would be; they came to an agreement they would just wait and find out. Nearly six months had went by and they finally got the names. If the baby was going to be a girl the name Makiaha would work. If they were having a boy, Mathias would do. Actually, the name Mathias was a combination of his parents's names: Matthew and Tobias. Believe it or not, but Mathias's parents are both guys and they had paid a girl to carry their baby for them - the money would be given to her monthly. In order to show how much they appreciated their client, Mathias's middle name was the name of her dad's - Jeren. Yes, in the end, the family did have a son. The full name came out to be: Mathias Jeren Clemintine on April 27th, 1993. This make Mathias twenty years old at the current moment, meaning he will be twenty-one next year. After all, in most cases...you tend to age older...unless your name is Benjamin.
His problems slowly began to roll in as Mathias progressed through life. Countless times he would enter the kitchen of his house in Toronto, Canada and would ask what was for dinner. And, in reply, his dad would ask if he had a nose. There was always the same reply from Mathias: "I can't smell anything." At first, his dad thought he was joking. But, the same incident occured several times. Finally, his parents took him into the hospital to see the same doctor who had delivered their child. After conducting many tests, the answer was plain and simple: Mathias had only four senses. He did not have the sense of smell.
After getting into a horrible car wreck at the age of seven, he was once again rushed to the hospital. You would of thought they would have checked if he had any more problems than just not being able to smell anything...but they found another. Mathias was unable to feel pain. There is a medical term for that but only a few people are born with this: congenital insensitivity to pain - you cannot feel any pain at all. It doesn't matter how much torture you go through...you can't feel pain. On the downside, people with this problem usually die before the age of four.
However, his two dads did not become overly protective of their son. This would make their child drift away from them faster. Also, given his ability not to feel pain, this ensured their son might die quicker than they thought.
You would of assumed this would create trouble for him in school, the inability not to make friends; maybe it was his looks or money that made his well known by the student school body or the fact he had two dads...Mathias never bothered to ask. That would have been one heck of a question to throw into a conversation. Anyway, not only was he popular but Mathias was well above average in all of his studies. He also had random facts shoved inside his head just in case people started to talk about something he knew all about.
Middle school (ages 12-14) was his downfall. During that age, kids start to perfect their personalities: popularity and fame couldn't last for long. The more Mathias knew, the more he would stutter, trip over his words, use his hands to talk, and try to rephrase something that was perfectly understandable. The kids would laugh at him, poke fun at Mathias and didn't expect anything to happen to them in return. Little did they know Mathias was King at comebacks and burns. The ones who bullied him got bullied in return. How's that for karma?
His family has money. They are well off, so to speak. His dad, Tobias, is a private pilot who flies people to the dangerous parts of Canada - mainly for hunting purposes. His other dad, Matthew, built a prestigious kid nursery for the parents who had to go to their jobs or enjoy a some free time. Once Mathias finished school at eighteen, he waited two years then moved to California.
Mathias has now grown into a sarcastic guy. Although he might still stutter when explaining things, he can be a real jerk at times. He also doesn't take people too seriously or orders for that matter. If someone bosses him around, Mathias finds it in his power to do the exact opposite of what was originally demanded. Despite all his bad characteristics, he can be a sweetheart and caring when the time is needed. He isn't scared to show his nerdy side, either or discuss his favorite tv shows with others. One of his most distinct characteristics would have to be that he gives the impression of not being impressed by someone. They could say they were famous back in their hometown but Mathias would show no emotion towards that. In fact, the only emotion found in that would be his sarcasm.

D I D Y O U K N O W ? Panama is Winter's adoptive mother at the aquarium!

P A N A M A ' S T A L E ;; Gulf World Marine Park rescued a pregnant adult female bottlenose dolphin from Panama City Beach on October 21, 2000. The dolphin was named "Granny" to reflect her estimated "old" age. She was estimated to be about 25 years old and typically dolphins live to their late 20's to early 30's in the wild. Unfortunately, She aborted the calf shortly after her rescue due to complications that were most likely exacerbated by the stranding event. She received several months of rehabilitative care at Gulf World to treat anemia, severe sunburn around her dorsal fin, and a possible infection. Panama responded well to her rehabilitation and was medically doing well, but despite her good health status there were still many concerns about her worn-down teeth, low stranding weight (she was about 100 pounds underweight), and the reason behind her stranding.

To shed some light on her stranding case some research went into her dorsal fin identification and it turns out that she was matched against catalogs from an on-going wild dolphin study. She was found to be associated with a pod of dolphins that would beg for food from fishermen and boaters. These pods of dolphins are also known as "beggar dolphins." It was suspected that she may have engaged in these behaviors, but she had never been observed doing so. Due to the Marine Mammal Protection Act, set in 1972, it is illegal to interact with wild marine mammals, this includes swimming, harassing, hunting, and feeding them. Despite the illegal nature of feeding wild dolphins, some uneducated boaters and other members of the public continue to offer food and interact with these animals. This is extremely harmful to the dolphins because often times the handouts they receive are usually bait fish or human food that is of low quality. Low quality food can lead to dolphins falling ill and stranding themselves. Another problem feeding wild dolphins is the fact that dolphins frequently use observational learning to acquire new skills. Basically this means that since dolphins often travel in pods they are possibly teaching this behavior to other dolphins instead of using natural foraging behaviors.

It is unclear as to how Panama's teeth had become worn down, but it is speculated that her teeth were one of the contributing factors to being underweight. In early 2001 National Marine Fisheries and Wildlife Services, an agency that governs cetaceans, decided that Panama did not make a good candidate for release due to the combined factors of her teeth, old age, and association with "beggar" dolphins prior to her stranding. Ultimately, it was felt that these issues would impede on her success in the wild. It was decided at that point to place her at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium where she could be a companion animal to another dolphin by the name of "Sunset Sam". The staff here at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium changed her name to "Panama" to reflect her stranding location. Panama was transported to Clearwater Marine Aquarium on March 23, 2001.

In 2007, Panama was chosen to be a participant in a hearing study to determine hearing loss in stranded Odontocete dolphins and whales (Mann et al. 2010). From the results it was determined that Panama had profound hearing loss. Although, unknown for sure, researchers speculate that hearing loss can be a contributing factor in standings. Hearing plays a crucial part in echolocation. When dolphins and whales emit sound waves from their melon, those sound waves travel through the water column and bounce off of objects in the surrounding area. The sound waves then return back through the jawbone and into the ear where upon the brain is able to produce 3-D images of the objects in the environment. With out the capability to hear, it is believed that dolphins and whales are unable to produce images picked up by echolocation. In murky and turbid waters this could cause dolphins and whales to become disorientated and potentially strand themselves. NOTE: it is unclear if Panama's profound hearing loss was indeed a causing factor in her stranding.

Due to Panama's profound hearing loss the training staff works with Panama a little differently than they do with the other dolphins. Instead of using a whistle to tell her she has done a great job and she can receive reinforcement, they point at her or tap her gently on the back. Panama is a very gentle and loving individual who seems to enjoy back and belly rubs from her trainers. She also seems to enjoy playing with her two pals Winter and Hope.

FACT: Among the most damaging human interactions is feeding wild dolphins, even more than the risk of boat collisions or injury from the churning propellers. Although feeding wild dolphins is seemingly harmless, dolphins often become sick and strand or die as a result of eating dead fish thrown to them by boaters. This "begging behavior" is even more problematic because female beggars like Panama would unfortunately teach her calves and other dolphins to beg for fish rather than teach natural foraging skills required to survive in the wild. Thus, this type of human interaction affects many more animals and has a much greater impact over time.
