Summer;

Summer walked into the tryouts area immediately after quite some time of practicing. She walked in, set her stuff down, took the pom poms and began her routine. This routine contained a series of flips and splits, she did everything she could to show her strong points. She continued her chant and finished the whole thing in a split.

Shalini jumped she had forgotten all about the tryouts today. She stared wide eyed at the team captain unable to properly form words in her shock. In her silence her friend walked away, standing quickly she leaped to her feet and hurried after her after snatching up her bag from the ground. "Hey wait! You surprised me, I forgot about the tryouts. You know how I am when people surprise me" she said and caught up to the other girl. "So are these the people attempting to join?" she asked raising a brow at the girls while she eyed each on skeptically.

Summer walked away with a smile knowing she did well. She looked up to hear a voice from someone familiar, "Oh, hey," she responded. She took one more glance at the other girls that were trying out. "Yes..definitely attempting. I don't think any of them will get in though," she said rudely.

"Hey Summer, I hate to dampen their spirits but this year doesn't give anyone impressive much less memorable. I doubt anyone will make the cut, if they do I bet they will quit because they don't have what it takes" Shalini said reasonably. It was a bit heartless but they wanted people who were ready to be completely dedicated to cheer and not people who thought it would look good on their transcript or wanted to be in shape. "Well at lest they are trying, though it will be harsh when they are rejected. So how was this Monday for you?" She said indifferently.

Summer shrugged, "You're totally right. So that means I'll get in," she said in that snotty voice almost everyone was familiar with. "My day is going fine..how about yours?" she tried to push the thought of being yelled at away.

"Terrible, I woke up late and so I skipped since there was no point in going but I am going to get an earful tomorrow" she said and sighed. "Which reminds me I need to finish the homework, I got is from a friend who was in the class. If I missed a day I might as well have the stuff done latter. I am going to help a bit. Good luck trying out" she said and hurried towards another of the girls. She felt a guilty about bad mouthing the incoming girls but her irritation towards herself and her anger at her alarm clock had been channeled through those words. Still she knew it wasn't right to judge others before she meet them, she knew all to well. "Hi my name is Shalini and if you need anything ask me, I am just helping on the side today" she said brightly to the first girl she ran into. "Oh and if you get in I give rides to everyone that can't drive yet so come talk to me if you get in a need rides to any of the games" she added cheerfully to Mercy.

Summer continued to listen about her day as they walked, she shrugged and answered "Wow," she didn't listen completely. She hates listening to people's problems, so she didn't really know why she'd asked in the first place. She glanced over to a girl that was watching her from a good distance. She just rolled her eyes and walked out back toward to where the guys were.
