Shirley May Williams was born on a crisp October evening; October 8th, to be exact. She grew up the youngest of three, with two caring parents. She lived in a small town in Minnesota and attended private school. Her older sister graduated from Yale with a degree in biochemistry, and her older brother is studying law at Stanford. Shirley has always been different from her siblings. Her whole family is quite conventional, and she picked that up in ways, but at the same time, Shirley believes in going with your gut. Which explains why, at the age of 17, she packed her things and moved to New York City to become a published author. Despite her parents protests, she successfully found an apartment in Brooklyn and got an internship at the New York Times due to her exemplary grades in high school and her apparent talent at writing. Because of this opportunity, her parents agreed to let her stay; but only on the condition that she finishes a book by the time she's twenty. She agreed, and is working hard to meet that goal.
Shirley is a very sweet girl. She comes off as very soft and approachable; words come to her lips as readily as to her fingers. Her intelligence and wit charm many, and she is never short on friends. Because of her almost idealistic childhood, she can act a bit snobby at times, but she always reminds herself to keep an open mind. She is never unkind, and she can always find something to talk about. Shirley is a good listener, as well, and is quite sympathetic and supportive to her friends. She has a fun side, too; once you get past her strictly organized exterior, she loves to do crazy things. She dated a guy for a few years in high school, but they broke up as they went separate ways; she is currently single. Dating is not something that is currently on her mind, but if the right guy comes along, she'll consider it.
Shirley is a beautiful girl. She turns heads; she's always put together and neat, as well. She has silky blonde hair that falls in waves around her shoulders. Her eyes are green, really more of a hazel, and she has defined eyebrows and a small nose. Her smile is gorgeous, and her teeth are all straight, thanks to two years of braces. Her smooth complexion is quite pale. She's 5'4" and weighs 116 pounds; she's got curves, but is by no standard fat. In the winter she wears cardigans and ballet flats; in the summer she wears floral printed dresses and skirts. ʟɪᴋᴇs;

Shirley has a passion for writing. She has always done well in school, in general, but English was always her best subject. She loves reading and always carries a book with her. She was in her school's yearbook club, and she wrote for the school newspaper as well. Her parents wanted her to be a journalist, because it's more dependable, but she loves to write stories. It allowed her to escape from her mundane suburban life, and her creative imagination certainly helped. When she was offered the internship, she was shocked. She had the opportunity to shadow amazing writers, and be a part of such a reputable organization. She is halfway done with a historical fiction novel she started sophomore year, about a young girl in the middle ages. She has one more year to complete it, to win her parents' approval, and she is writing like crazy. Of course, she is never short on muses, living in such a metropolitan area. She loves the city, and hopes live there for many years to come. Her small apartment in Brooklyn has a bedroom, a tiny kitchen, a living area, and a bathroom. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
