Ajax was extremely careful and gentle, and his hands were delicate. This was evident as he brought his other hand to rest on Kaydon's chest. His hand probably felt like it was barely there. He had a touch as soft as moth wings. He looked at Kaydon in the eye, and a hint of alert flashed over his eyes as they always did, but there was another emotion that was in his eyes. He was feeling something, so much inner turmoil it was driving him insane. His mind was screaming at him to run, but another, more dominating part of his mind was telling him to stay like this forever, to be with Kaydon.

I held my breath for a moment but the rest of my body relaxed, I was happy and safe right here. my mind was drifting off it had nothing to worry about right now and it began to take a vacation, and then I felt his hand on my chest just faintly but it was there. I smiled and kissed his head again, I hope he feels safe like I do right now.

Ajax smiled weakly up at the boy. Suddenly, there was banging on the door, causing him to yelp and tighten his soft grip on Kaydon. Not too tight, but enough for Kaydon to know he almost jumped out of his skin. He looked at the door and didn't do anything. He was too scared to answer it, he didn't know who it was, and who would bang on the door like that unless they were angry?

I jumped too when the banging on the door began, and when I felt him tighten his grip I did too. it was a good thing that I had locked the door when we came in, "who is it?" I asked, hoping I would get a decent answer. I held AJ close as we sat there waiting for an answer, I wasn't going to let him answer that door, I didn't want to take the chance of him getting hurt again. I hoped for good, but expected the worst.

Ajax buried his face into Kaydon's chest and was shaking already. He was so frightened, he'd thought about opening the window to escape. Then, finally a voice behind the door wasn't harsh or rude. It was so soft and high pitched. He recognized the voice immediately. It was Cato.

"I'm-It's Cato." he says, "There's something really important I have to tell you guys." He says carefully. "About Charlie and Ron-"

I gently let go of AJ and hoped off the bed, I went to the door and unlocked it, opening the door. "come on in," I said quietly and sat back down next to Ajax the way I was before, "and can you lock the door behind you?" I asked him. I then whispered to AJ once more, "your going to be okay," and with that I kissed his head and looked at Cato to find out the exact reason he was here.

Ajax relaxed when he heard Cato.

Cato was hurt, and it wasn't hard to see when he locked the door behind him. There was a bruise on his right temple and he limped slightly when he walked, and he was trying his best to hide everything that was wrong. He looked at them, and smiled. "You guys are so cute!" He squeaked. He then started, "Well, earlier Charlie had grabbed me and shoved me into a locker, and I heard Ron and him talking." he continues, "Charlie and Ron are friends, and Charlie's really mad. I thought you should know.. Y'know to warn you."

Ajax was scared. He knew very well Charlie didn't have a problem bringing him inches from death. Ron on the other hand had no problem locking them both in a room together. He was terrified, more like.

I stared at him, letting all of this soak in for a minute, "come sit down," I told him patting an empty spot on the bed, "what did they do to you?" I asked, I wanted to make sure he was okay after all maybe he would be my friend soon. "and also, do you know what he is mad about?" I asked him finally, I know it is a lot of questions but I did want to know the answers. I still held AJ tightly against my body not feeling safe with him around anyone right now.

Ajax was paying attention but also had his arms around Kaydon at the same time.

Cato shook his head. "I can't stay long, and nothing happened really, I'm fine." He insists. Anyone could tell he was lying but he always told himself and others that he was fine. "Ron told Charlie how he was treated and Charlie's mad, and threatened to beat me up if I told you this, but Charlie and Ron want to get one of you alone. It doesn't really matter to them which, because-" he looks at Kaydon, "They want you out of the way." he then looks at Ajax, "And they want you to be aware of what they can do. That's what point they kicked into me today." Cato says. "I have to go. Study and stuff.. I'm just going to hide for a few weeks.. I suggest the same for you two."

Ajax looks at the floor. "All this is my fault." He gets up, and walks into the bathroom. He shuts the door behind him and sits on the floor against the cabinets, and he quietly cried.

I watched AJ walk into the bathroom, and then I stood up and walked over to Cato, "I am going to try to get rid of them," I told him and then hugged him carefully. I let go of him and looked at him, "if you ever need anyone we are here." I then went over to the bathroom door and knocked, "AJ? are you okay? please come out of there." I begged.
