"Easy enough." he muttered, taking one of the five cigarettes from the pack and lighting it. He slipped the pack into his back pocket where it was before handing the lighter and string over to Talia. What's the worst that could happen? If anything the silly prank would only frighten the nurse, not harm her. Without another word, he walked out into the hallway where the nurse stood. Kane made sure he had her attention before he acknowledged her, making sure she knew he was there. She seemed a bit frustrated in seeing Kane, especially with a cigarette in his mouth. She stopped him, and quickly scolded him; telling him he was suppose to be in the therapy room, and smoking was off limits. He acted as if he was going to ignore her by taking another hit and backing up near the closet where Talia wanted him to be. She quickly reacted by taking a few steps forward. Kane looked past the nurse and over to the girl in the hoodie, awaiting some sort of signal to do something.

Talia watched Kane lure the nurse over towards him, making her scold him. Sending a sly wink at the boy, she watched and waited, getting ready for his motion. She smirked before taking the lighter of out her pocket and sliding closer and closer towards the closet. Right when she neared the key that lay on the top of the trolley, the nurse's head turned towards Talia. The girl stared back at the nurse for a moment, coldly, clutching the lighter in her hand hard. In a blink of an eye, the girl pulled out the string and flicked the lighter on, dropping the blazing item into the closet. The nurse started to protest and lunged towards her, giving the girl a perfect chance to push her into the closet. The nurse stumbled back, but had her fingers wrapped tightly around Talia's skinny wrist. She started tugging hard against the nurse, but she was desperate to get away from the burning fire inside. Already holding the key, the girl looked towards Kane. Shoot. The fire around the string was burning more and more items by the minute and the nurse wouldn't let go of her. "Kane!" She pointed to her caught wrist of the desperate nurse. "Little help?"

Once Talia took a few steps towards the nurse, everything happened in a matter of seconds. As the string began to catch fire to random items, Kane heard his name from the girl. He moved forward, grabbing the hand of the nurse who's fingered we're clasped tightly on Talia's wrist, he quickly got her to let go. Wanting to leave before anyone else noticed what was going on, Kane turned to the girl in the hoodie before the nurse had a chance to grab onto either of them. "Hold onto the keys, we might be able to use them again." he said, a smirk appearing onto his face. "Let's go." he said, trying to lead Talia somewhere else, possibly outside.

Talia thew the keys in the air casually before catching them again. She followed Kane towards wherever he wanted to go. As she was rushing to get away from the fire contaminated place, the girl could feel laughter bubbling inside of her. Just thinking about the nurse, locked in a closet of fire. . . wasn't that just entertaining? Talia looked around the halls, still finding no one there. The place needed to tighten up on security. If two troubled teenagers were able to put a fire in a closet without anyone really noticing, there had to be some problem. She turned her head back, seeing a few flames and people rushing in to help, though the help seemed a little late. That just made her want to laugh even more. Talia took Kane's hand unintentionally and started pulling him towards a door, still open, which most likely was the result of a careless employee trying to get to the fire. "C'mon." She grinned at Kane before pulling him along with her outside. Talia dropped Kane's hand and looked up at the trees and the sky, taking in the fresh air. Though the asylum was so big, the girl always felt as if there were never enough oxygen in there. The laughter that had been bubbling up in her, suddenly came out, the girl laughing at the thought. She smirked and leaned against the brick building, sliding down to the concrete ground. She looked up at Kane. "Still got some cigarettes to share?" She asked, her laughter dying down.

Looking back, Kane could see the light from the small flames. He was a bit surprised to see no security walking the empty halls of the asylum. He wouldn't mind a security officer or two, they'd just add some excitement. Feeling something touch his hand, he noticed it was Talia. Kane thought she didn't like to be touched, which is why she was a bit edgy when he did it before? It was another thing he couldn't figure out this girl, but maybe Kane just needed to get to know her better. He took a deep breath in, glad to be outside. He listened to her laugh, which resulting in his own laughter. He slid down the wall, sitting beside her. In response to her question, he pulled out the pack of cigarettes that were in his back pocket, "For a cocky girl, sure." he said, handing over one of the white cylinders. Kane managed to keep his cigarette from before, mocking himself now, he chuckled and said, "Doing all that while keeping a cigarette with me. I must me magic."

Talia smiled when Kane called her 'cocky girl'. She didn't really care, after all she was one the who had given him permission to call her that. "You must be." She said simply to Kane's comment. Taking the cigarette from his hand, she put the object to her lips. She took out the lighter and watched the flame disappear and appear by lazily flicking the switch. After a few flicks, the girl brought the lighter towards her cigarette and took a whiff. She breathed in deeply before letting it all out, watching the white smoke pour out from her mouth. It was peaceful; sitting there, outside in the breeze with someone who she maybe could call friend.

"I guess I am." he muttered, followed by a soft laugh. He slouched, letting himself relax against the ugly brick wall. Taking a quick hit from the cigarette in his hand, "It isn't that bad out here," he said, smoke flowing from his mouth with each word. "At least there's fresh air." his voice was quiet for once, and he let his head rest again with wall now. He sat there for a few moments before he turned his head to Talia. "So what now?"

Talia shrugged, completely relaxed from the thrilling event. "Dunno, you think of something now." She turned her head towards him, her hair shifting against the uneven brick. She breathed in the smoke, allowing herself to be captivated into it. If only it was stronger, the cigarette. She needed something to bring her off her feet and make her forget that she was in this asylum. Talia leaned back against the old, ugly building and sighed.

GERARD

Gerard opened and closed his eyes a few times, he was drowsy form the night before. His imagination was playing up, it was a storm of illusions and comic book writing. He wore his favorite jacket, a black worn leather on, paired with a logo'd black shirt and black jeans (seemingly his only pair of pants). A dark leather satchel was sitting on the chair next to him as he sat in the corner table of the cafeteria, away from people and windows. His coffee was still too hot to drink; still to hot to help him swallow his medication. The tops of his hands were scratched and riddled with specks
of dry blood, he was feeling the nervous and terrifying affects of his condition early that morning, he needed his coffee to cool down quickly.
