A couple minutes later, maybe five minutes in total, Rory walked back into the cave with a smile on her face. "I found some berries that might go good with our fish," she shrugged, "Or not, I haven't tried them yet, so I don't know what they'll taste good with," she explained, walking over to the fire. She hadn't tried the berries because she knew their was a chance that they might be poisonous, and she figured that Morag would know if they were or not. Which is why she had brought in a handful of them for him to inspect before she ate them. Kneeling down by the fire, she opened her hand to show Morag and asked, "These are edible, right?" a concentrated look on her face. She wanted to learn all she could out here so she could be more of use to the group, so learning what was poisonous or not might keep them alive in the long run.

Morag pinches a single berry between his fingers and inspects it - and although he already knows it is edible he is pretending otherwise. After a long while of surveying and deciding he nods and offers a very wide smile up at the girl. "Yes these are very edible." and proceeds to explain, ending with, "we should catch and cage animals to see if they'll eat them to be sure. Or, were any birds and insects around them? It's faster. Animals evade things that can kill them."

After seeing Morag smile, Rory felt some hope in her stomach that she'd actually done something right. Then she heard his suggestion and nodded, "Trial and error with some animals would prove that they are indeed edible," agreeing completely. Excitement built up in her stomach at the thought of collecting data, school had always been her strong point, and it would be comforting to see some familiarity. "But I'm sure I saw some birds around the bush I picked it, so I'm sure what you're saying is true, and that they are safe to eat," she shrugged, rolling a berry between two fingers, inspecting it.

Again he is silent, breaking the berry appart and inspecting its innards - yellowy, not red. Good. Just as he thought. Morag smells it and rubs it against his skin to test for a burn that means a poison. Nope. "It is good to eat." he states, popping it into his mouth with a wide smile.

Crystal crawls over to look at the berries, "Do these berries have a name?" Her question was aimed at Akira and Morag. She stared at the berries memorizing their look so she could find them again if it became necessary. She was back into a smiley mood.

Aaron turned over the fish on the stone and glanced at the berries with a slight but not overwhelming curiousity. "How do they taste?"

"If they have one i dont know what they are called." Morag answers with a shrug. Eyes meet the face of James and he nods, "Like blackberries actually, almost the exact same sweetness." another berry follows the first into his mouth.

Akira glances at the berries and shrugs. She hadn't seen these before. Thr tribe tended to avoid this area. She looked at Morag curiously, "Blackberries?"

Morag grins and doodles the berries in the dirt, "I'll see if i can find some." he murmmers in her, and his, native toung.
