"I can't let you do that Sean, and it was more of a sort of joke because my dad is going to kill me..." Maye said softly and rolled her eyes. She sighed n=knowing she would have to go home tonight and looked at her hands, biting her lip gently.

"That is not something to joke about" Sean said harshly. He closed his eyes and sighed "I'm sorry I did not mean to say that rudely" he said softly "it is just that you may never know when those things are going to happen" he said quietly his eyes still shut

Maye flinched at his tone and looked at him for a second before looking away. She didn't think her dad would do that. But, her dad snaps at times. She USED to be loved, she USED to be a somebody now she was a nobody. Tears brimmed in her eyes and she sighed softly and shakily.

Sean opened his eyes and looked at Maye and saw her tearing up "I'm sorry" he said softly "I did not mean to scare you" he walked to her and put his hand on her shoulder "I was in the wrong frame of mind. I just don't like hearing people say those kinds of things. They may have never experienced a near death experience especially by their parents" he mumbled

Maye shrugged and wiped at her eyes, embarrassed. She looked at him "No, I-it wasn't you.." She murmured and stood up, wincing. She didn't understand what he had said but paid no heed to it. "I need to go home, things will just get worse the longer I'm gone." She said and looked around.

"I can't let you go back there" Sean said softly "it is not safe for you" he brushed his fingers through his hair and then let his bangs fall over both eyes before flipping them back over his right eye nervously. He knew that he needed to get home as well to clean the house before his mothers return tonight. He smiled softly

Maye shook her head and sighed "But, Sean.... I have to go home.." She said, biting her lip. She held his gaze before looking away.

"If you truly believe you have to then you can, but I can't stand knowing that you father is hurting you" Sean said softly. He started to play with his hair again because he was also nervous about going home

"Thank you.." Maye said softly before leading him in the direction she thought was their street. She broke from the trees and gulped when her house came into view.

Sean followed closely. When he saw her house he narrowed his eyes (of course only one is visible ) and put a hand onagers shoulder "do you want me to go with you?" He asked softly as he kept glaring at the house
