Maye leaned against the trunk. She sighed and jumped down from the tree, heading to the cemetery close to her house.

Sean put his phone down on the side table. He got out of bed and pulled off his shirt exposing multiple scars both on his back and on his front. His slight sixpack showed as well. He slipped out of his jeans forgetting he had his blinds open. He stretched and went back to bed

Maye hugged herself, holding her elbows as she walked past Sean's house, this time she had shoes on. She walked in through the cemetery's black iron gate and collapsed nearly on one in particular grave.

Once Sean finally got to sleep he started to feel sick. He rushed to the bathroom and threw up a few times. He leaned against the wall "s*** why can't I stop thinking about it. It makes me sick" he said out loud "why can't I just have a normal life" he stood up and looked in the mirror before splashing his face with cold water and walking down stairs. He walked out to the back deck and sat in a chair he took out a cigarette and lit it. As he smoked he leaned back in the chair

Maye covered her face with her hands, sitting next to the small grave stone. "I-I'm sorry, I should've come sooner..." she whispered

"What the h*ll do you think you are doing?" Sean's mother screeched when she walked out on the deck and saw Sean smoking. "N...nothing Sean said letting the cigarette fall his mom walked over and picked it up "you call this nothing" she hissed "we'll if this is nothing then that means this should not hurt right?" She said grabbing Sean's hand palm up and pushing the end of the cigarette on it. Sean screamed in pain wishing that he had not because being out side means the noises carry. A few houses turned on their lights after he screamed. His mother slapped him "so you still want to say that you are doing nothing? Huh?" Sean shook his head while clenching his teeth. "Get back inside. NOW!" His mother yelled. Sean flinched "yes mum" he said quietly. He clenched his hand as he walked back inside. He quickly went to the kitchen sink and ran cold water over his hand. He winced at the pain. His mother just watched him and sneered

Maye jumped at the scream "Sean!" she gasped and sprinted from the cemetery just in time to see him going inside "Leave him alone!" she screamed, her fists curled into balls.

Sean looked outside when he heard Maye. His mother frowned and walked outside closing the door behind her. Sean watched silently as he kept the water running on his hand. "Well hello there" his mother said as she walked to the fence by Maye "aren't you that girl that my son walked home this evening?" She asked kindly. Sean turned the water off and looked at his hand. The ugly black burn stared at him. He narrowed his eyes fighting the pain he walked outside and then stood next to his mother who was about 2" shorter then him. "Hey" he said softly hoping his mom did not say anything

Maye looked at the woman with uncertainty in her eyes. "Yeah I am..." she looked over as Sean came out "Hey, Sean.. C-can I talk to you for a minute?" she asked, acting calm but inside her heart was pounding and her brain was scrambled. She had hair covering half her face as she looked at him.

"It is a pleasure to see you again"Sean's mother replied. Sean looked at Maye "um sure" he hopped the fence "I'll be back later mum" he said as if nothing happened "so what would you like to talk about?" He asked kindly forgetting that he was only in his boxers
