Janai drank some water "thanks" she said and started thinking

>> Adam smiled at Janai and sat down on the bed next to her. He glanced over her and the furrowed his brow. "Oh and by the way, my name isn't Michael," he gave a small laugh, feeling a little dumb. "It's Adam." The boy shrugged and held out his hand, offering a shake.

>> Sam watched Flame walk up the stairs until she heard the door open and close again. She let out a sigh and walked back to her room, peeking in at Adam and the new girl. She would need to introduce herself soon, but right now they were talking.

>> Dex walked back towards the kitchen, messing with his pocket knife as he walked. He looked up, seeing Reyle again. "What? You just couldn't stay away?" He smirked and stopped a few feet in front of her.

Janai shook his hand "my name is janai as you know, nice to meet you." She smiled lightly

>> Adam grinned, glad she wasn't mad or anything that he'd used a fake name. "So, you alright with crashing in here with me tonight?" He asked, just wanting to make sure that he wasn't forcing her to do anything.

Janai nodded "I guess it's ok I used to share a room with my brother before..he died from abuse" she sighed but looks at him "so what is this place may I ask?"

>> Adam frowned at the sudden change in tone that she brought, feeling slightly awkward after the words were spoken. He tried to ignore it. "It's pretty nice, most of the people are kind. Excluding Flame of course," he smirked a little at the thought. "But I've only been here a day."

Janai looks at him "is it possible for me to..join you guys? I mean i got no where else to go" she smiles lightly "I'll just ignore flame for now"

>> Adam nodded and glanced at the door, no longer seeing Sam. "Yeah, I'm sure that Sam will let you stay, she's our little leader," he smiled, rubbing her back a little. "She'll get better, hopefully." He gave a wink to his blue eye as he gazed at Janai.

Janai smiles at him looking into his eyes "so may I ask what brings you and everyone else in this house..you don't have to answer Im just trying to make small talk since I'm socially awkward at times" she chuckles a little

>> Adam let out a small laugh and grinned. "Don't worry, I love awkward," he winked and put his hands on his knees. "Well, I think we have all come here for different reasons for the most part. But I also think that we all just want to feel safe, and the Dugout is a very safe place." He answered honestly, and with a smile at the end.
