"yeah, I have a papa too but he's an industry manager, I don't see him too often." Row says softly. "So my momma raised me on her own on the farm. All I know I learned from her."

Ashlynn smiled, looking slightly down. "I don't have a mama... Or a papa..." She says.

"Who do you live with?" Row asks.

"I have an older brother..." She says, smiling faintly. "He was kind of the only one by my side ever since I was born."

[ ＮＡＭＥ ] [ Hello, kid. ]
❝Hello, my name is Anais Olivia Richardson. When I was born on December 1st, 1993, my mother and father had a hard time trying to figure out what to name me. My father was fixed on the name Olivia, where my mother was stuck on the name Anais. My father always joked that the name Anais was chosen because he and mom had a rock-paper-scissors battle. Mom tells me that mothers know best... People are always wondering why my mother won the name battle, and not even I know the real reason. All I know is that my first name is Anais, and my middle name is Olivia. People often pronounce my name wrong, and I don't mind. I'd be confused too if I saw my name for the first time. I'm a winter baby, and proud to be. I couldn't even imagine not being born in this wonderful season, with all of the beautiful snow, delicious hot chocolate, and the soft mittens and blankets that you cuddle in on the cold winter nights. I was born late, a few weeks late, actually, but that was because my mother was determined to keep me in so that I could be born in December.❞

❝To make things simple, I'll just explain what I look like. I have dark brown, wavy hair, and hazel eyes. Height wise, i'm about 5"8, which isn't too tall for my age. I weight around 121 lbs, but I'm not going to check again any time soon, I've been drinking quite a bit of hot chocolate... I get my eyes, my nose, my feet, and my ears from my father. The rest I've inherited from my mother, which I'm happy about. I'd much rather have dainty fingers from my mother, than big manly legs with my father. Everyone that I meet says that I look like my mother, which I don't mind at all. Based on all of the pictures she took in high school, she was quite the pretty and popular lady. My father was one of the 'nerds', or 'geeks' in their school, and everyone didn't expect it when my father asked my mother out and she said yes. I have fairly long legs, which I use to my advantage. During the summer time, I'm on the swim team, and my legs are my advantage. I haven't lost a competition yet, but I don't plan on going pro or anything. Swimming is the only thing that keeps me fit, other than my weekly yoga session. Fortunately for me, I was never one of those kid who got acne. I didn't eat a lot of chocolate and I still don't! Everyone thinks i'm so weird because I don't like chocolate, unless it's in hot chocolate form. As for my nose, I have the kind that points up at the tip, and it's my trademark, along with the freckles that I have on my cheeks. Lucas and Chloe loved all of my freckles, which made me love my freckles even more.❞

❝People describe me as alot of things. For one, they call me cheeky! I'm always making jokes and i'm often immature. I'm pretty sure I got my immaturity from my father, as my mother is a very sophisticated woman. Yes, that's another reason why everyone is confused and shocked about how my parents got married. Opposites attract, I guess! If I were to ask every one of my friends to describe me, funny, loving, soft-hearted, down-to-earth, loyal, and trustworthy is what they'd say. One time, my friend left for a week to go on a trip with her family, and I had to watch her dog. I ended up pampering it and feeding it so much, that the dog actually started whimpering when she had to take it home. Although I love dogs, I'm a big cat person. I have a white persian named Tibby, and I love Tibby to death. She's 5 right now. I forgot to mention, around strangers, guys especially, I may come across as a bit sarcastic. When you befriend me, you get "loving sarcasm" all the time. People see me as being "rude", or "hard to get", but that's just how I roll. I have alot of things that I like and I dislike. For one thing, I love to make flower crowns. My mother and I always made them. She taught me when I was five years old, and I taught it to all of my friends. My mother and I were famous for them! I sold them on a website called Etsy. I literally live on there, and that's how I make my money. Of course, I have to make them out of fake flowers. Who would pay 10 bucks to have a crown that would die in a week? Other than making flower crowns, I like wearing sweaters, hot chocolate, guys with green eyes, girls that are shy, The Notebook, The Help, and The Lovely Bones. I have an obsession with movies that start with "The" apparently! Although I do really like the Disney movie "UP"....❞

[ ＨＩＳＴＯＲＹ ] [ back in time... ]
❝My life has been pretty okay so far, except for my... breakups. The first was Lucas. He had everything great that a guy could have. blue eyes, blonde hair, he was tall, and he was super outgoing. He loved to have fun, and he didn't care about what people thought of him. The only real difference between us was that he was a dog person. When I was watching my friends dog, he came over a lot just to look at the dog! Luckily, Tibby and the dog got along well. Lucas and I had been going out since ninth grade. Everything was perfect. He took me to Disney the night he asked me out. I loved Disney. Our relationship was the kind where everyone said "Damn, they are still together?" We spent every waking moment with each other. Our relationship reminded me of the Notebook. We couldn't stay away from each other! I loved those days. When he joined the football team, he gave me his varsity jacket. I wore it every day. I still have his jacket in my closet from the last night I ever saw him again. A year after our relationship started, he was diagnosed with cancer. He lost all of his hair, and he had to quit the football team. He had to quit almost everything that he did, and he was heartbroken. He felt ashamed, like I wouldn't love him the same if he were bald, and cancerous. That just made me feel worse. Last summer, he passed away on September 14th. His last words to me were "I'll always love you Anais, I'll be watching over you." He died in his sleep that night. I haven't been the same since. I haven't listened to any of the songs he liked, watched any of the movies he liked, or read any of the books he liked since the accident. I don't know how I will let another guy or girl into my life. If I do, I hope he won't be disappointed. He would probably want me to move on. Then came Chloe. I really loved Chloe, too. The only problem was her parents were very religious and they were against our relationship. We went out for a year before they had finally had enough.

[ ＲＥＬＡＴＩＯＮＳＨＩＰＳ ] [ As long as you love me... ]
I haven't had alot of relationships so far. Only a girl named Chloe that I really liked in 9th grade, and Lucas. I Don't know how I'll ever get over him. I felt like he was the one for me. Will I ever fall in love again?

I only look for a few things in a guy/girl. Someone who's taller than I am, is outgoing, loving, carefree, and can sing. if they could play the guitar that would be even better! Lucas couldn't sing for his life. I would love it if I had someone that could sing to me every night. I want someone who will love me for who I am, and someone who doesn't care about my past. I want someone who will snuggle up in front of the television on cold nights and drink hot chocolate with me, as it is my favourite drink. Lucas and I came up with the secret ingredient to put in it to make it just right; its powdered half and half! But it has to be vanilla flavored. Chocolate with vanilla is the best!

"He's nice, ain't he?" Row asks.

"I don't know... We never really spend any quality time together..." She says, sighing faintly.

"Oh, I see," Row says, taking off her sandals because she hated sand in her shoes. her toes are painted a dark blue.

Ashlynn wasn't wearing shoes at all, she didn't like them. She stared at the ocean water and the pretty sea shells that were on the shore line. She picked up a really pretty rock and brushed some sand off of it.

"Careful, there could be a hermit crab in there," Row says touching the shell. "There's a bunch of them little buggers out here."
