Serena hummed happily to herself as she kept coloring the picture during the second hour. She decided she would give it to Blaise during the break, hoping he would like it.

I left class a few minutes early and headed to my locker to get my lighter, as well as put my backpack away. I walk towards the wall as the bell rings. Hoping not to run into Serena. I make it out the doors of the school and sigh.

Serena finished her painting and left class, leaving it there to dry. She went towards the spot she and Blaise mostly met in their breaks, but frowned as she didn't see him. The girl opened a book and sat down as she waited for Blaise to show up, knowing that he would have texted her if something was wrong with him. Oh well, the girl would see him next period.

I see all my old friends there and smile.
"HEY GUYS!" I shout as I high-five all of them. They stare at me but nod respectfully.

"What are you doing here?" One of my friends ask and I shrug.

"I'm breaking up with Serena today, she was the good girl that couldn't be broken." I say wickedly, not meaning any of it.


"Dude that's what up! Welcome back." Another friend of mine says as he pats me on the back.
I smile but on the inside I ache.

Serena sighed softly as she read the book, just taking in the story and sipping from her water. She knew her friends were free the first few hours, so it seemed like she had to spend this break alone. Not that she minded that.

I hang out with my old friends but feel lost. I realize I had changed when I dated Serena, and bringing the guy my friends liked back would be difficult.

Serena stood up and went towards her next class as the bell rang. She sighed softly as she sat down, trying to rub the paint of her hands.

I stay where I am even though I hear the bell. All my friends are talking and I'm on the outside looking in. I sigh silently and get out my phone.
"We need to talk." I send to Serena.

Serena received the message and read it, gulping slightly, though she stayed calm. There was nothing to worry about. "When and where?" she texted back, biting her lip insecurely.

I sigh as she texts back.
"Now. I'm by the wall." I re ply. She isn't going to be happy. And she's going to know exactly which wall it is.
