The corner of Kailey's mouth raised slightly in amusement at Soren's barely-noticeable slur, and her tone was only a little exasperated when she sighed, "Have you been drinking again? And before school too." Despite her reproachful expression, she was nevertheless impressed by how descriptive and lucid he still was, to the point that his little speech about the Galapagos could only be called beautiful. With a small shake of her head, her almost-smile still visible, she replied cheerfully, "Sounds great, I wish I'd been there too. You travel a lot, huh?" Inadvertently, her eyes flicked up to the clock hanging at the front of the classroom, noting that it was almost time for their first class to start. With a sigh, she slumped lower in her seat - spring break might be over, but the inertia that accompanied her somewhat dull holiday hadn't quite fully dispersed yet, and the reluctance to being her studies again was only just hitting her. Kailey wouldn't say it was terrible to be back at school though; it didn't hold much interest for her, but at least her nigh uncontrollable emotions had subsided, and she didn't feel perpetually miserable in class.

Chuckling, Soren blinked slowly at Kailey's first comment. Drunk he was, but his drunk was not like others. He wouldn't run around stripping or hoot loudly or even just dance a bit differently. Soren would ponder about the mystical part of life, and being drunk kept him calm and collected, making drinking a helpful tool for him to relieve anxiety. "Why yes of course," replied Soren, lightly putting his hand on her shoulder and looking at her through his dark eyes. "What else would you expect from me?"

Soren continued to chuckle and he made sure his bag was zipped as he put it down beside him. He pulled over a chair to sit down, his head hurting him a bit, that usual ache that came from after drinking. He was used to it now, but didn't want to reveal his drunkenness to the faculty at the school by his movements and unbalanced self. So, he merely sat down, leaning back in the chair, his right leg over his left, crossed like most men do. But his hands were not in his pants, like a lot of guys did as well, and they were relaxed by his side. Soren found it rather nasty that guys would so willingly put their hands in their pants whenever they felt like it, no matter who it was in front of. Eck.

"I travel sometimes," said Soren, "not too often." His glassy eyes only looked mature as he looked at her eyes, a habit he had when he was speaking. He'd always been taught to look people in the eye. One could tell emotion from the eye, and being rather drunk and deep, Soren enjoyed this sort of soul-searching he'd do. He could learn so much. He noticed her eyes break to look at the clock and a sudden burden seemed to weigh down her shoulders. What a perfect painting it could be, but alas first period was to begin. "Awaiting the bell, I see," said Soren, words slightly slurred and a half smile dreamily on his face. His eyebrow lifted to create a slightly cocky yet playful look from his face.

Danielle made an effort to pay attention to what was going on around her. If she was perfectly honest, she didn't much care for any of it. Sure, there were the few people that she got along with and enjoyed spending time with; they were her friends. The other people in the room she wasn't too crazy about however. Especially one particular -ss.
Logan Anderson. He and Dani had been dating prior to the end of the school year, then they'd broken up. She didn't regret it, not really. She just wished that it wasn't such a thorn in her side, even after all this time. Like most of, if not all, the girls in Franklyn High, Danielle had fallen for Logan's charms. She'd enjoyed spending time with him, and had been pretty happy when they'd started going out. OK, she'd been ecstatic. But the novelty had soon worn off.

"Seth, will you please sit still and shut up." Dani snapped, a hand to her face as a frustrated sigh left her. She could feel the beginnings of a migraine coming on, something that only helped to make her mood worse. "Sorry..." The girl muttered, realising just how harsh she was being. She sat up in her seat, throwing the boy what she hoped was an apologetic smile. She didn't mean to be so... short tempered. It just came out sometimes.
At the sound of another voice, Danielle looked up to find Seth's brother, Zeke, standing nearby. The two never got along, and this year didn't look to be any different. Seth was the older of the two, although most of the time he resembled a five year old, whereas Zeke was more grounded and mature - to a certain extent. Danielle stood from her seat and moved to sit on the table, fingers curling around the edge as she glanced between the siblings. "Now, now... You two better play nice."
