Ronan wasn't entirely sure how long he spent sitting out on the street corner of the school, sheltered in the shade of a low wall. It was the perfect place for him, where he could see everyone going in, but they could not see him. He was hesitant to return to the building, as the entire spring break he had spent having the time of his life on his many travels. In the time he had spent, not once had he missed the immature arguments that his colleagues would have, nor the make-ups and break-ups the couples would make. For a week, he had spent the time simply enjoying - living the life more of an adult than of a teenager, which was regrettably still his age. A small part of him was honestly tempted to get up and leave, as he had no interest in returning to the petty people who he could not really call his "friends". While of course there were a few here that he actually did enjoy being around, the prospect of seeing the many jocks who irritated him so strongly balanced out his urge, and finally caused him to sigh. He reached up and removed his hat for a moment, ruffling his hair. Indeed he was having mixed feelings about entering this building that had tortured him all those years.
He finally entered the common room where it seemed like the entire class was gathered at a rather late hour. But it wasn't out of the ordinary, as Ronan was tardy to nearly all classes, year-round. At least he was consistent though, right? While he could have easily tried to defend himself to anyone who inquired about his tardiness - his watch was always an hour late - the man couldn't have been bothered to say anything as he entered the room, giving himself a moment to survey the entire situation. There were people everywhere, much to his irritation. Most of them he knew the names of, but to be honest there were a few that he would have missed. He had never been the center of the class, and he seriously doubted that anyone here even knew his name. Save well of course, the few people he would consider his friends.
The room didn't seem to explode with enthusiasm when he entered, and Ronan didn't seem to linger in the doorway for long. After all, he was just blocking it for anyone else to come in. His eyes seemed to narrow noticeably as his gaze fell upon Caesar, who was lounging near the front, obnoxiously promoting himself, probably. Ronan didn't care enough to listen, and instead just rolled his eyes. Great. He was about the last person that Ronan had wanted to see, but this time around, he didn't want to start petty fights with him - after all, Caesar would be winning that way. Instead, he forced himself to look the other way as he passed by them, going to sit with Reagan, one of the few people in the room that he actually recognized. He gave her a nod, settling himself down in the seat next to her. Not being a highly vocal person, he had always found conversing with people his age a challenge. While Reagan was his friend, he hadn't seen her in days, and she seemed aggravated. So rather than starting small talk, he just waited to see if she would have anything to say to him. He had learned early on that this girl did not enjoy to be spoken to in times when she was angry - which basically was most of the time.
