Jace smirked for no reason as the boy said she packed a painful punch, maybe it was satisfaction, or maybe it was the fact that he had basically just said that she was different, and being different was something Jace liked. The smirk instantly fell from her face when she heard some kind of weird noise come from the boy, "Oh gosh, I'm sorry," she said meekly, thinking she had caused the noise to come out of the boy. Jace flinched slightly as the boy scrambled back to a sitting position, and away from her, 'Great, now he's scared of you...' she thought meanly to herself. Backing away a step or two to give him some room, she stared at the ground, and waited for him to talk again. Hearing some shuffling, she looked up slightly only to see a pair of feet on the ground instead of a whole body.
Jace's eyes and head snapped to attention when the boy, Xander spoke. As he finished speaking, the girl let a slight smile flood her face, 'Maybe he doesn't hate me totally...' Nodding vigorously, she took that as an acceptance of her apology, "Are you ok now?" she asked, wanting to make sure that he truly was ok, and not just acting tough to look like a tough guy. Distracted suddenly by the size of the room they were in, Jace's green eyes floated around, taking what she could in the darker room. The brunette still hoped to find the roof, but the need wasn't as urgent now, she was content talking to Xander here. "So, where do you come from?" she asked feeling slightly dorky, but quickly brushing it off.
