I shrugged, nodding with a smile. "I guess," I answered Scar. I went to the locker and got changed again, and couldn't wait to be outa this Godforsaken place. I walked back out into the gym and got my phone out. My parents had landed in Dallas already for their business trip, and I still couldn't wait for this weekend. Although, it was still Tuesday. I just wanted this week to be over. But I was looking forward to hanging out with Wyatt and Justice after school today

Jess walked to the gym and changed his shoes and pants in the locker room, keeping on his now sorta dry shirt. He looked around and remembered that since this was a new school he had no friend. he leaned against the wall and pushed the gauze back in his mouth, looking around at all the other people funneling in.

I watched as someone I'd never seen before hung around in the gym all alone. I walke over to him, getting looks from all of the preps. "Hey, I'm Hadley," I said in a friendly tone,"You new?" I liked making new friends, and hoped to make this guy feel welcome and not so alone.

He waved hi and gave a small smile but his words were muffled by the gauze so he took out. "Hi Hadley." He said din a smooth voice. "I'm Jess, but most people call me Jeshire." He said, thinking that the only people that ever called him that were bullies, but he might as well make it a nickname. "Yeah, I had to come here because of the bullies at my last school" He said, leaving out the bit about money and how he coldn't really the old one because his parents died.

I frowned as he mentioned having to move because of bullies. "Well I'll tell you what," I started again with a smile, glancing back at Scarlet,"You stick with Scar and I and you won't have anyone bullying you." Any friend of mine never got bullied without the bullying regretting it later. I was usually a calm girl, but when someone messed with my friends I was Lucifer. I mean, like full-fledged b***h.

I smiled, "Okay, Thanks." I replied after Hadley had answered my question from earlier. I sighed, my mind drifting back to Cleo. I walked towards the back wall, slipping my old flip phone out of my hoodie pocket. I scanned the phone, searching for any indications Cleo had called. She hasn't so far, so that might be a good sign. Or something could've happened as she didn't have enough time to call me. What if she was in trouble. A sinking feeling sat in the pit of my stomach, as I attempted to steady myself, suddenly dizzy. This wasn't good. I cleared my brain, after slumping down the wall at the very back, going unnoticed for the most part. I sighed, knowing I shouldn't worry myself to death, so I just stayed silent, trying to grasp some sort of sanity. I pulled my knees to my chest, ducking my head down, and closing my eyes. This was one of my pathetic attempts to calm down, I often did that a lot, going into some type of shocked state, so, fortunately, I knew what to do whenever I did. I could feel my heart rate, and breathing slow down, and I knew everything was going to be fine. It had to be. I glanced up, seeing as Hadley talked to someone I'd never seen before. I stayed in my spot, but still let my mind wonder off. I smiled as Hadley glanced over here, sending her a small wave.

She looked worried as heck, which made me worry as well. "You alright?" I asked her with a concerned look.
