Her lips curved into an amused smile and she nodded slowly. Max tilted his head, then trotted after Liberty, tail wagging, though he seemed to be keeping a close eye on Melanie at the same time. "It really is beautiful here though. Despite everything else, I think Adelania is one of the prettiest of the Kingdoms." She pointed out. They were in a small meadow at the edge of the forest. Melanie loved nature. Birds flitted through the air and a rabbit dashed across the meadow and disappeared in its hole. A wolf howled in the distance and another answered. Flicka whinnied sharply at the sound and pawed the earth uneasily.

Eric smild"Okay, sounds good to me Milday" he smiled. He walked up to his horse and scratched him on the nose.

Nissa smiled as she walked into the castle kitchen. She grabbed a few things and walked out like nothing happened

Eric stood outside the castle and scrtached his horse, waiting for Nissa.

"here ya go." Nissa said tossing him some break

The guard pondered this for a moment, eye brows pulling together in something like confusion. "But I don't know her." Well. Well there went that plan. Either the guard didn't understand the point of a hostage, or his job; or he just didn't care about the 'little' people at all. "Do it." He said, as if challenging the bluff. Which was a real problem because August really was bluffing. There was no way he could actually harm someone whose only fault was being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He looked over at the girl, then the guard and his followers, and then back to the busy market. "I'd rather not." He said with something of a groan, releasing her arm and turning the sword over in his hand to hold it properly.
