Sam was passing by Zane's room and stopped saying, "If he's causing trouble, maybe we should let Eliza shoot him." Again, he sound and looked like his father, having copied the low and dangerous tone Derek was known for when reprimanding his children.

Erik smiled, leaned in and kissed her lips.

Missy shuddered at the likeness in samuel's voice. "No, it's okay." She said to the both of them. "I have wounds to tend to. Dinner will be served at seven." She left briskly.

Eliza smiled and pulled him close, prolonging their kiss.

Zane nodded softly and sighed. 'D**n...I haven't done anything and they want to kick me out!! I have to be cautious...'

Missy dressed the scratch on her leg, tears on her cheeks drying. She really had liked Erik, but it seemed he went for her sister instead. She wiped her eyes as she felt a fresh batch of tears coming. Missy sighed and tried to focus on pulling glass from her leg, but her mind kept going to Erik. She shook her head and covered her face, biting her lip to keep from crying.

Sam shot Zane a glare, grunted then moved on upstairs to clean a few rifles. They were in sore need of it and he kicked himself mentally for not tending to them earlier.

Erik moaned softly against her lips as he kissed her, wrapping an arm around her waist.

Zane rolled his eyes and sighed. 'Their too vigilant...' He thought with a bit of remorse.
