Abby I sigh, and lay down on the hard floor of the roof. I turn on my side, using my arm to support my head, and close my eyes. Soon I'd fallen asleep.
The next morning, George had already gotten up and had purchased a Mc.Donalds breakfast biscut for each of them. He was on his way back to the roof, trying to keep the food warm. He remembered putting his bookbag under Abbys head before he had left, so that she would sleep better.
I'm leaving for a while. Not sure when i'll be back. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Abby I open my eyes, and yawn, sitting up. I look around, and see that George is gone, but then look down on the ground, and see him coming back, a McDonald's bag in his hands. I turn back around, and lean against the wall, quietly.
George scaled the fire-escape and smiled when he notice Abby awake. He strolled over and sat down beside her, leaning up against the cold wall. He pulled out his food then handed the bag to her, "Sorry if it isnt very warm.."

Abby I smile back at George, and take the small bag. "Thanks," I say, and open it up, not caring if it was freezing cold--at least it was something to eat. I take out the biscuit, and bight into it, silently saying grace in my head. I'd been to several homes that went to church, and I'd even almost decided to talk to the pastor about becoming a Christian, but was taken away before I could do so.
George ate his quickly and stuffed his trash in his pocket. He stood slowly and looked out over the wall. He turned back to Abby, "Will that be enough?"

Abby I nod my head, as I finish it. "Yes, thank you," I say, and stand up, brushing off crumbs on my skirt. I grab my backpack, and put the paper bag inside one of the zipper pockets, then swing it over my shoulder. "Well, I suppose I should probably be leaving," I say, picking up my guitar case.
George watched as she stuffed the bag in her back pack and pulle dit on. He then took a step toward her, "Wait, um... I mean- uh, Where are you going?" He bit his lip and there was a look of lonelyness in his eyes.

Abby I shrug, looking at George. "I don't know," I say, looking out over the roof. "But I'll be fine. I mean, I've grown up on the streets, so I can take care of myself."
George bit his lip, wondering if he had done something wrong... He thought about what she had said, "So, are you leaving for good?" He was worried about her... What if she was attacked again? What if the police got her and shipped her back to the foster homes? What if she got into a fight.. and lost? What if...? Ok.. Calm down dude... Its just a girl.. He tried to convice himself to forget about her.
